This Lafayette team is also 1-9 and 314th in rebounding in Div. 1 and yet they're outrebounding us. Lafayette already has 6 blocks. Jocius is giving the team nothing. They're being outplayed by a bad team. Joscius looks slower than last year. Not sure what is up with him but he is very slow this year. Playing hurt but yes not great

man this is the Marrero we hoped for shooting daggers A little playing time and confidence goes a long way…. Has been a good shooter from the moment he stepped on campus. He possesses a simple and repeatable shooting motion. So the percentage meets the eye test. Time for Dunphy to make this team a meritocracy if we want to give this team the highest chance of winning.

We need to close out December strong. Dunph has the guys preparing for start of A10 play in January.

This Lafayette is bad, they missed about 20 layups shot. That good for us today.

If Marrero keep playing like that in the past two games, he should win A10 6th man of the year award.

We def need Brickus to come back.. Will be a long season next year if we don’t
Love the fact that he is taking over the Alpha role. He has shown glimpses of this throughout his time but nothing consistent.
In fairness, some of this was on him.
How many times has it been asked over the years “Why doesn’t Brickus shoot more?”
But he is looking for his shot while still making the right pass. He is being more assertive and the team is better off for it.

If Marrero keep playing like that in the past two games, he should win A10 6th man of the year award. 6th Man Award is becoming a La Salle staple...Gross-Bullock aka Kenney and then Nickleberry past 2 years

Played a really nice second half. It is obvious that when we go smaller, we are much better as a team. That has been the difference in the last three wins!

Most of bench got in late. I'm wondering if Dunphy is Red Shirting Tahmaz.

Though the first half was rough from a dribbling and rebounding perspective, the team really sinks or swims on its shooting. I felt like they had some good looks that didn’t fall in the first half, and then they couldn’t miss in the second. Another big difference from last year is making our free throws. La Salle didn’t let Lafayette get too far ahead in the first and actually put a team away — a nice change of pace.
Also, Jokus and Gill are tough to watch at times, but I don’t think Zan or really anyone else is a viable option. I’m happy Fafaso and especially Marerro have rounded out a real rotation. We haven’t had 7 playable guys in a while.

We desperately need to recruit someone who can rebound. Shoot too… Marrero can but inconsistent on amount of looks…. behind Brantley, Brickus and Gill but I don’t think that is best course of action No three point shooter will ever be “consistent” but marrero is as close as they come. He’s shooting just a hair under 50% for the season. He’s 12th in the country for 3P%. Won’t get much more consistent than that.

Just watched the game. La Salle was pretty disciplined today. I agree that we are at our best playing small ball. The formula on offense today was noticeable: get the ball to touch the paint and kick out to reliable shooters. Brantley and Brickus didn't pile up the points today, but made critical contributions in other areas.

Brickus is the only reason we are ahead along with Marrero again. Everyone else had not played well. Brickus and Marrero need to play the most of the group of 4. It is time to play the players with the highest ceiling. Brantley and Gill can figure out the last spot and rotate from there. Dunphy won’t do this but he should. Sample size is too big now after 3+ years. The schedule is going to get tougher and the team will be exposed. my god it never ends with you. i can't understand why you have such an issue with dunphy, brantley and gill. sorry to inform you, but they are 3 of the 4 people most responsible for this team being 8-2. i love andres, great teammate and very good shooter, but in case you haven't noticed, he struggles with creating his own shot and shooting off the dribble. most of his points come off of assists from brickus, brantley and gill and without them, he's not getting those open shots. by no means am i minimizing his role on the team but he needs these other guys in order to be successful. and you wanted dunphy to run the offense through rokas? the kid tries and i'm rooting for him to get better, but he can't hold onto the ball, gets pushed around even by smaller players, and has not shown the ability to pass the ball. hopefully he improves but at this point, he's regressed from last year. i guess dunphy continues to give him 25 minutes per game in hopes he'll be ready to contribute by the time they get to conference play. but right now, the team plays better when they go small. everyone here understands that brantley and gill sometimes play out of control and overdribble, but without them, this team would be lucky to have 3-4 wins. not sure who you think dunphy can roll off the bench to replace what they do for this team.

He is shooting just fine :-) when he gets it off.. Boys are def getting him the ball right and perhaps most intriguing he was 1-4 from 3 pt land at half but that he was confident to keep going and he nailed a few in a role.. and got us the space we needed..

One thing I was thinking about today… Imagine if we had the talent under Ash with Dunph on the sideline. It’s funny I was thinking about how we swept St Joes just a couple years ago for 3 games while Ash was still coaching and Lange was still there… Fast forward we get Dunphy, a coach in a different universe than Ashley, and Lange is still there but St Joes are a different class this year

Ball movement was fabulous today. Marerro adding consistent shooting is really helpful in making us a better team. He has been excellent the last 2 games.

Is he above reproach? Absolutely not, but damn are you dogging him every chance you get and most of it is unwarranted. So what is it? What's your personal beef against Dunphy?

Today was a nice easy win against a team that blow us out last year at the Gola. The first half was sloppy, but the second half was smooth sailing. This is the second game that Andres Marrero (20 pts 5\12 from 3’s)came off the bench to give us that spark in the game. Fasasi (9 pts 2\3 from 3’s) played exceptionally well off the bench when Gill was in foul trouble. As a team we shot 15\37 from 3’s for 40% today. Majority our points came from the arc (45 pts). Andres Marrero win my armchair coach player of the game for the second time. If someone on the board maybe can help me out with this question. Is Jocius regressing this year or he need one more year to develop his skills. We have a week to get ready against #16 Miami-FL. We need to have our A game Miami-FL next Saturday. If not, it going be a long game. Let go down to Florida and get this need upset against Miami. Let get it baby.
