It has been an impressive season for St Joes. Let’s hope they keep it going. A good season for StJ is good for Big5 and A10.
With a great offseason, La Salle could there (ie keeping Brickus, getting some frontcourt help and one more shooter.. well hopefully everyone brought in is a shooter of some type but I know that is not realistic)

Couldn’t disagree more. I hope they lose every game.

A rising tide raises all boats. Out of conference, we should be rooting for all the A10 teams to do well to set the conference up for multiple bids, which gets more money for La Salle.

It does seems that the board’s Billy Lange Is A Complete Moron Club hasn’t been meeting as often lately.

It does seems that the board’s Billy Lange Is A Complete Moron Club hasn’t been meeting as often lately. Billy Lange being a complete moron and St. Joe's doing well in spite of him are not necessarily mutually exclusive. It comes down to amassing more talent than his very limited coaching skills could overcome. After 5 years it appears that he finally may have reached that inflection point. Time will tell.

How many wins buys him four more years? Does 20 wins do that?

I understand the rooting for other A-10 teams but to me that doesn’t extend to St. Joe’s (PA) and if I’m being honest, usually not Dayton either. Everyone else I agree.

Lange needs to make the tournament to get another three years. With the portal allowing teams to reload quickly unless you’re at a school where getting transfers is near impossible- like the Ivies and the service academies (also limited in the Patriot, can get them but not in large numbers) the coaching leash is shorter

Wins yesterday moved Dayton's NET to 30 and St. Joes's to 48.

Dayton picked up 3 votes in this week's AP and 1 vote in the Coach's poll. St. Joe's picked up 2 in the AP.
Miami was dropped from the Top 25 in both polls.

Dayton picked up a solid 24 point win over Oakland last night and moved up to 23 in the NET.
Right now only 3 A10 squads above 75: - Dayton at 23 - St. Joe's at 48 (with a chance to pick up a Quad 2 win on the road tonight at Charleston where they are a 2.5 pt dog) - Duquesne at 67
A10 is 4-23 in Quad 1 games
Weird game of the night - - UMass is at a tournament in Hawaii and favored by 1.5 against Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech beat Duke earlier this year by 4. Game is on ESPN2.

Like I’m happy now but what if instead of being a two bid league with St. Joseph’s of PA going to the tourney, now we’re a one bid league and St. Jospeh’s of PA isn’t going to the tourney? How will I feel then? More happy? A lot more happy?

Jellybean used to tell me to "Fuhgeddaboudit!"

Only a few non-con games left for teams, but none that will really move the needle. . A10 is still ranked 8th in NET, but right now only Dayton looks to be a lock in March, and the A10 is looking one-bid again unless some team grounds the Flyers in the A10 tournament. Here's the NET breakdown: Team | NET Ranking | Dayton | 22 | St. Joe's | 62 | St. Bonaventure | 66 | George Mason | 72 | Duquesne | 79 | UMass | 84 | VCU | 90 | Richmond | 99 | Davidson | 110 | George Washington | 135 | La Salle | 164 | Loyola-Chicago | 169 | St. Louis | 213 | Fordham | 235 | Rhode Island | 252 |

Would going back to a 16 game league schedule help the A10? I think it would. But teams would have to schedule accordingly.

St. Joe's 41=pt drubbing of Loyola Maryland last night bumped them up to 54 in the NET. They are probably the conference's best hope for a 2nd bid right now, but it's a long shot.

There's a couple opportunities for teams to fall out though. Is the Mountain West going to remain as strong? Right now they have five teams in the top 50. If Princeton loses two not-Penn Ivy games they might get bounced out. James Madison is in trouble of being "Drexel'd". San Francisco will certainly not secure an at-large.

We were the only team in the A10 to lose.

Here's where the conference NET shakes out as we enter conference play and the leagues beats each other up. A10 is still ranked 8th in NET - still only seeing one bid unless St. Joe's only loses to Dayton and on the road to Duquesne or the Bonnies, and get to the finals of the A10 tourney. Any others would have to win the A10 tournament at this point. Not that it matters, but we dropped a ton with the Quad 4 loss to Howard. Team | NET Ranking | Dayton | 25 | St. Joe's | 53 | St. Bonaventure | 67 | George Mason | 76 | Duquesne | 80 | VCU | 87 | UMass | 91 | Richmond | 100 | Davidson | 104 | George Washington | 141 | Loyola-Chicago | 157 | La Salle | 209 | St. Louis | 223 | Fordham | 224 | Rhode Island | 235 |

A10 fills 5 of top 25 mid-major spots per recent poll. FAU is way ahead of the pack
Dayton St. Joe's St. Bonaventure George Mason Duquesne
I think UD, SJU and Bonnies are legit. Don't see Mason and Duq in top 5 of A10. Can see VCU as 4 and then a bar fight for 5.
Mass has some high talent but doesn't look complete as a team.
Davidson or GW could sneak in as 5 IMO.

St. Joe's isn't a mid major.
