I'm having a very difficult time convincing myself that La Salle covers this. As a La Salle fan, this Could be one of those "feel good" wagers where you put money on Bucknell. If Bucknell wins, your pissed, but you win. If La Salle wins, but doesn't cover, Win/Win. If La Salle covers, you lose the bet, but have to feel good about the 10+ pt win.

i love the line. but even the biggest degenerates should be able to figure out it's a game to avoid betting on. spread is large enough it makes me feel comfortable that la salle will win the game without it going down to the wire. but i could also see them covering. bucknell has not looked good so far.
i just want to see a win where we're still not sweating it out in the last minute. my guess is that most games this season will be nail biters.

KenPom has the spread at 13 and Torvik at 15. It does feel weird seeing La Salle as Double digit favorites but Bucknell is really bad. I keep thinking about the Lafayette game last year though.

I keep thinking about the Lafayette game last year though. Had this same thought when I saw the line. Like...oh yeah we destroy them...but....

That line means we'll lose by 5.

Young Griffin is going to be a good coach. It may take a couple of seasons to get the train back on the tracks.

Toured their campus a few weeks ago with my son who is applying. Really nice facilities and kids there. I was surprised they field 25 teams.

Young Griffin is going to be a good coach. It may take a couple of seasons to get the train back on the tracks. I’m not convinced. Seemed very whiney to me. Down 16 with 40 seconds and he’s trying to get a hook called as jhamir is just carving up their whole team on the press. I was shocked at how young the coaching staff is, I think that’s a recipe for disaster. You need some experience on the bench and some guys with some rapport with refs, travel schedule, etc. he was underwhelming to me. He was a good player there, but not sure what he did to deserve the HC job. He was an assistant under Nate Davis who failed there. Assistant under Lange (not great) and gets the HC job?! It looked like college kids coaching college kids.

It looked like college kids coaching college kids. It is kind of striking when you look at the numbers. Dunph has been coaching at the college level for 52 years and Griffin is only like 37 years old. I was impressed with the kid when I met him a few years back. Maybe that isn’t a good way to project he is going to be a good college basketball coach. You make a good point about having an experienced guys as assistants. Maybe Westhead was an exception. When he took over the La Salle program he was 31. (I think Left Ervin was an assistant and he was like 25…). I will watch the replay to check out Griffin’s histrionics. I took a pass on the game last night and went to a DE HS tournament soccer game. Exciting life, indeed.
