Davidson almost upended Clemson yesterday but lost by 3. Line of the day from Jack Clark for Clemson - 5 minutes, 0 for 1 shooting, 2 boards and a block. He would have fared better under Fran.

90 seconds of googling (by the intern) say he's dealing w/ or working back from some sort of injury.

So sad how his college career has unwound… To be honest, I didn’t even know that he transferred.. You are absolutely correct.. He would be sitting corners shooting high percentage 3s on kick outs and a featured part of offense

On an unrelated note to the A-10 but Grasso out at Bryant. Was arrested last month. Sad fall for a once thought to be an up-in-comer in college basketball.

He would be sitting corners shooting high percentage 3s on kick outs and a featured part of offense He never adjusted or coaches never coached him. He’s not a good shooter and should’ve remade his game as more of a slasher/mid-range game. That wouldn’t necessarily help him with getting to the NBA but it would’ve showcased his strengths and really helped him with an overseas career. Only once did he shoot over 30% from 3 yet 50% of his shots from 3. He really shined when he was slashing, backdoor cuts, rebounding and shooting FTs. Even now, 67% of his shots have been from 3…

I thought Jack Clark was going to a La Salle hall of famer. He should have been a star for us. If Dunphy was his coach he would have had a different result. I think G would have given him a better career.
He, like most of our players, got little help when ASH took over.
Just a real shame.

I thought Jack Clark was going to a La Salle hall of famer. Same here, I don't even want to look for the quote, but I really thought the only non-injury thing that would prevent this was a transfer. So ... kinda right but really not right at all.

Definitely mismanaged Clark’s collegiate career.

Liked his game but I think we’re overvaluing a guy with some deficiencies.

Raw talent- or skill-wise, he was a pretty rare HS get for us.

He led the A-10 in catching the ball with his foot on the out-of-bounds line

I wondered if Jack Clark regretted leaving La Salle when after Deshaun announced he was leaving the portal and returning to La Salle, Clark tweeted to him "good move." I hoped at that point he might return but shortly after that he committed to Clemson.

Raw talent- or skill-wise, he was a pretty rare HS get for us. I recall talking with Ash at the start of Clarks freshman year. His comment was that he was such a talent that we would be lucky to keep him. My take he was thinking pro not transfer. He had lots of injury issues, was not developed and then made his own mess by transferring.

Not sure what is relevant for us in the Big 5 anymore with this new structure, but Penn up 5 on Nova with 30 seconds to go. Edit: Despite Penn’s best efforts to blow the game via TOs and missed FTs, they hang on 76-72(side note - 10 minutes to complete the last 30 seconds).

Anyone know what the tiebreaker is if every team in a pod finishes 1-1? Is it point differential?

Is it point differential? did i read somewhere it could be by net ranking? i could be dreaming that. sometime tomorrow i'll try to visit the villanova bball messageboard for some entertainment. my guess is the spoiled obnoxious fanbase is already demanding neptune be fired.

It's been 20+ years and I'm still waiting for the next Steven Smith. Jack Clark could play at every ACC school in the league and he ain't it.

You are correct. It is Net Ranking, which is a ridiculous tiebreaker. But maybe it won't benefit Nova like I originally thought.

They don't release NET rankings until much later in the year is my understanding

I'm not sure how that's possible since NET rankings won't be out yet ...I don't think. That tweet is referencing 2 other Twitter/X accounts that aren't the official Big 5 accounts.
If it comes down to NET this early in the season, it cheapens the whole thing for me and shows how ridiculous this new format is.

CBS Sports has one up on their website. It’s not the official NCAA one obviously but it’s something. I’ve said multiple times thst I don’t mind this new format, but using NET based off of like 5 games seems really dumb.
I guess St. Joe’s (of PA) could render this whole thing moot by beating Villanova.

We need to beat Temple and then either the Hawks or Nova. Neither Temple nor Nova looks impressive so far.

Bonnies come back from a 10-pt 2nd half deficit to take down Oklahoma State. The A10 is picking up some nice November wins.
