A lot of people seeing this game as a toss up. Temple the slight home favorite. Temple has been averaging almost 80 points in the last 5 home games. La Salle only 69 points on the road in the last 5 games. La Salle has to play solid defense and keep Wyatt in check or else they'll have to repeat their GW performance and put up 80+ to win.

I see something in between.
La Salle 72 Temple 69
I worry about Jefferson from Temple. Seems like his name is never mentioned. Could be do along with Lee.

I worry about all of them. They're a talented (albeit inconsistent), well coached team. This will be a very tough road game.

Anyone going to be watching from a bar in Philly? I'm looking for recommendations for a La Salle friendly viewing location that will have the channel - CBSS, I think?

I'd expect a huge turnout for the Butler and St. Joe's games.
I wouldn't for Temple. That's just because the Liacouras Center's a pain to get to on a weekday night unless you live in the city near the subway or one of the train lines.
That place is going to be Palestra Light tomorrow. No way they sold that many tickets w/o a large amount going to La Salle folks.
Stubhub has about 45 tickets above box office price available last I checked. I'm not sure how to read that. There were only one or two tickets out there for The Palestra. I figured that was because no one was giving up those tickets (or, if you were, you could find someone real easy to take them) and the resellers didn't realize that game was selling like that.

It's dollar dog night. That's always a big sell.
I'm not sure why though however, you can get dollar hotdogs just about anywhere.
With that said, I'll be there and will have 5 hotdogs.

With an over/under of 142.5 Vegas believes La Salle plays D and keeps this game close. An average score of 71 per team favors La Salle. In the end, I know La Salle is the better team. It's just a matter of overcoming a city/conference foe like Temple.

Hopefully we get a good crew of officials, since we are the only league game we should get one of the better crews.

I better grab tix I am pulling my 3 boys out of school and meeting my nephew, a Temple student, at the game. We will be stopping at Mammas on Belmont for my favorite cheese steak . btw,I have been eating cheese steaks for 40 years from everywhere and every place. Mammas is the BEST HANDS DOWN! Only go if you want if you want to be ruined for all others. I send everyone there sometimes we drive totally out of our way to stop there. Some nuts even pull their kids out of school early to eat their before games. Now the bad news. My son has never seen LaSalle win live. I want him to be there tonight because winning the Big 5 to me is HUGE. I want him to be there when we win it for the first time In 20 years. Temple seems to always have our number. I remember back in the 80's we were winning by 20 at the half and lost! I also more recently remember being at Gola and being down 20 at the half. So many sub plots here. Dunphy. Big 5. Who actually is the best player in the city. My son seeing his first win. Mammas cheesesteaks and the list goes on See you tonight! Go Explorers

Hopefully we get a good crew of officials, since we are the only league game we should get one of the better crews. Complaining about the officials is what losers do often when they lose. I have done that because it is easier than picking on your own players. It shouldn't ever be done before the game even starts. Do you want to be put in the same boat as Martelli? After all, it's the refs fault they're in 12th place because they didn't allow HK to play his regular A game which is to plough everybody over three times. News flash, our guys were in foul trouble too, and Steve Zack fouled out. By Martelli's logic, they should have just let the boys play, so maybe we could have won by even more!

Let's talk some basketball. From a basketball perspective, this is by far the worst defensive team Fran Dunphy has had at Temple. We start a 6'9" Anthony Lee which can definitely be a detriment against bigger lineups. It appears lately, Dr. G is going with a four guard lineup, which actually helps Temple. Obviously, Temple's strength and La Salle's strength is in its perimeter players. I expect a game in the mid to high 70's coming down to the last minute. La Salle would be best served playing man to man defense as Temple has played some of it's best basketball against a zone.

La Salle doesn't really play much zone. Our perimeter defense has been very good all year.

Go Explorers The only problem with Mama's is you never know if they'll be open or not. I haven't been there in years but I remember a number of times going there finding them closed when they were supposed to be open and more often, they had run out of rolls. They did make great steaks though although my favorite will always be D'Allesandro's under the original ownership.

Agree on hours. Not open on Sundays. Never had a roll problem. Lets Go LaSalle. Defense wins this game. Lock it down boys!

D'Allesandro's, even always under the original ownership, always had the meat constantly cooking, which dried it out too much for me. Still an above-average steak, but Id prefer it made to order.

Pretty close on offensive number (even better if we made those layups in first half). Defense was pounded by Jefferson, Lee and Randall. Just as predicted on the first two. Amazingly Lee had 10 pts in 13 minutes.
