Hate to see them go. They are the ultimate team players! Wish them the best and appreciate their contribution to La Salle basketball.

Sweet 16 to helping this program through what could have been a mess of a bridge year to hopefully another tourney appearance somewhere.

it sucks being a fan of this team. i really thought we'd only lose josh and that dunph and staff would find us another shooter and a solid big man to replace mamadou.
now this. i hope everyone else is staying.

It a sad day for me that the Drame twins are in the portal. I hope the twins have a change of heart to stay with us. If not, I like to thank the twins in bringing that toughness and excitement back to Lasalle basketball. Thank you for everything you did for Lasalle basketball on the court and off the court. THANK. #GoExplorer

I'm not gonna lie...I might be an old man (I guess I'm considered an early millennial) yelling at clouds, but I'm not interested in watching a bunch of 1 year rental players.
If this thing doesn't stabilize and find its new center soon, I'm out. I will just handicap games without any fandom and watch the NBA. At least I know what I'm signing up for watching the Association. Load management and players also sleep walking through an 82 game slog of a season is better than rooting for a bunch of carpet baggers.
****I realize I'm in the minority on here, but that's OK.

Dont see them going anywhere on our level and above and playing anymore than they already did. Great kids, and hustle their asses off. I wouldn’t be surprised if they return.,

This is a stunner!
Even if they come back, I wonder what they could possibly be displeased about that they decided to enter the portal? It couldn't be playing time - they were as high-profile as I would expect any player could get. This is a real "head-scratcher."

Maybe just maybe they want to find out what their worth is and maybe they can raise their profile before they need to be noticed professionally.

This is all about NIL money correct? To other points here it can’t be playing time. They will play more here than most places.
I don’t have any idea if they will come back or not. La Salle and other schools like us need to tell these kids if they are going to see what is out there make a quick decision because Dunphy should be talking to players that are their replacement.

Can these "collectives," mandate a 3 or 4 year contract signed to receive payment and benefits? It just seems like the wild, wild west.

The best I can come up with is when you are bad you can reset much quicker but I do feel the players are now more mercenary now and less part of the fabric of the university now.

Any 1 and done that can go to the league and get paid life changing money, by all means, good luck. Any player that was recruited by their old coach that was fired or moved up the food chain, good luck. This 3 school shit, here for a year, there for a year, squeeze a school for 20K, I'll be diplomatic and say good luck, but in reality, don't let the door hit you on that way out. I keep coming back to this...Jack Clark, Mr injury prone, 6'8 guard, 9 PPG, 29% from 3, doesn't get to the line or play D, or even looks like he wants to play D, Jack Clark...he goes from a bad La Salle team, to a bad NC State team. Well, NC State surprises, plays well in the ACC and makes the Dance. Clark plays 39 minutes in a loss to Creighton...I'll say it again, Jack Clark played 39 minutes of a 40 minute game. Doing his best Ben Simmons impression, Clark shot 1-6 from the field, 1-3 from the foul line, for a whopping 3 points. Now I ask you, in what world should Clark be transferring out of Raleigh? Where's he going, Duke, UNC? Is he homesick and wants to go to St. Joes? Make it make sense.

Make it make sense. i don't think you're being fair to jack. i watched nc state play 9-10 times this year (did not see the creighton game). jack was solid in just about every game i saw. he led the team in rebounding. he had a decent overall field goal percentage (43.6%). he had a positive assist to turnover ratio (only committed 11 turnovers the entire season). his defense was solid or he would not have been on the floor as much as he was. the only thing he really struggled at was shooting the three (29%). a better coach would have pushed him to move his game to the midrange (keatts is average at best). jack shot 60.7% from inside the arc. if you watched nc state, you'd know that he played with three ball dominating guards. jack only took 181 shots in the 23 games he played. those three guards combined to take 1316 shots in the 34 games they played. don't get me wrong, they were probably 3 of the best 4 players and needed to take more shots than the rest of the team, but getting the ball to jack wasn't a priority to them. jack filled his role and did a solid job for that team. to compare him to ben simmons is just flat out wrong. good kid who ran into some bad luck health-wise but he stuck it out for 3-4 years here and got his degree. he had lots of offers out of the portal the first time but it came down to nc state and la salle. i didn't blame him for leaving. i have no idea what his reason for leaving nc state is but if he's homesick, i hope he comes back to la salle.

With the Drame twins 1) are they technically foreign exchange students? What’s their status there? Because if they are on student Visas I think NIL is limited
2) it’s possible they really want a grad program we don’t offer or offer at a high level. They really could be looking to leave for thaf reason. I know that’s not common in athletics but it’s possible

If Clark came back that would be cool by me. I think Fran could get the most out of him. Good for all
The foreign kids can get NIL money. Just have to structure it the right way and is a little different from US players.
Don’t blame the Drames for seeking the best deal or more than what they may have been offered. I just don’t see many teams bringing them both on for big bucks and eating up two roster spots for two glue players. They are a bit redundant of each other and while great glue players they are not great scorers and can’t shoot the three dependably from a percentage basis

We should have known that, when Hassan was quoted in the Weekend Wall Street Journal a couple of weeks ago, that something was up.
The twins are taking advantage of free markets for free men.

Do we have an NIL collective established yet? i know that a group of former players attempted to put one together prior to the start of the season but not sure whatever came of it. fwiw, i saw a post by delgreco on the temple board a few weeks ago where he mentioned a la salle player made more nil money than any of the temple players. he also recently posted something on the st joe's (pa) board about them and la salle making some progress with their nil efforts.

Shooting under 30% from 3 ain't cutting the mustard for playing the 3. here's a twitter thread about jack by some nc state fans mentioning their ball dominant guards possibly affecting his decision to transfer. One of those kids declared for the draft last night. Seems to me Clark would get a chance if he stays put. We have close to 90 games of evidence as to what Jack Clark is as a college player. He's a 6'8 guard that seems to want to play on the perimeter. Half of his shots are 3 point shots, but he can't shoot from the arc. He's money on the foul line, but he doesn't get to the foul line. At 6'8, he's a match up nightmare posting other guards, but he doesn't post up. Jack Clark is an OK role player. He's gonna give you 10 or 12 points, he's gonna give you some decent rebounding numbers, and his defense leaves alot to be desired. He's not gonna make an All A10 team, let alone an all ACC team. I was told that he'd be the next NBA player out of La Salle when he was entering his freshmen year. Forgive me for my "meh" feelings on Jack Clark as an impact player.
