So any guesses or inside information on what next year's roster will look like? Odds are someone other than Mamadou will also move on (nature of modern day). I would imagine Nickelberry will generate up-transfer interest as a shooter, no idea if he would entertain it. Will the twins move on to pro ball somewhere or stay? Anyone you think may transfer out?
I'd like to see La Salle target a Rim Protecting 5 who can also rebound, and a 3 and D wing in the portal.

Have to think a big man will be brought in regardless. We can’t only have Rokas in the program. Need some depth.
The rest depends on who stays. You would think at least a couple others will leave.
We need a reliable scorer for sure. I would also take anyone else that has a specific skill like rebounding, defense, shooting, shot blocking, and to the mix we already have.

Pretty sure a while back I saw Nickleberry say this was his last year. Not sure if that's a sign he's planning to leave. I'd like him come back. On another topic I saw that St Joes has 14 scholarship players next year including 3 recruits. Not sure how that works.

If Pitino leaves Iona keep an eye on Izaiha Pasha.
Dunphy recruited him hard.

Very curious to see what Pasha does. Pitino definitely leaving just a matter of which program and if Pasha follows him
Definitely need a big and another shooter. Doucoure may be gone and we will see what the Drame twins and Nickleberry do. As you said, Nickleberry did say this would be his last season but players can change their mind.

If Pitino leaves Iona keep an eye on Izaiha Pasha. Dunphy recruited him hard. pasha eliminated la salle from consideration because dunph wanted to redshirt him while iona offered immediate playing time. he's a nice player but he's very slight and would struggle to have an impact as a freshman.

One big in the portal that has not listed La Salle as a school that has contacted him (but I hope that Dunphy takes a look) is Josh Cohen at St. Francis (PA) by way of CB Academy in NJ. Averaged 20 and 8 this season.

But Dunphy seemed to embrace small ball and just stay there as season progressed. Maybe he just wanted to play that style. Rokas is a clear top-5 player on the roster and got little playing time. I would say that Coach was trying to protect him but his minutes went down as season progressed. He is clearly the best rebounder, finisher around basket and rim protector that we had. Heck, he didn't shoot much perimeter but release and form looked pretty fine by me. To be clear, it is completely fine if Coach wants to play spread, small ball but then he needs to get athletic, shooters which we have a lack of on the roster. Drame Bros regressed materially in perimeter shooting this season and were a little more than a standard deviation below average this season. Nickelberry was only shooter north of 40%. Brickus was a streaky 38%. I agree with you that we need more big men besides Rokas. How coach recruits should be telling on the playing style next season

Averaged 20 and 8 this season. I agree, Josh Cohen make perfect sense for us. He is an instant double double machine. Give Jocius one more year to develop his game and get stronger. Josh Cohen put up 40 points and 9 rebounds twice against Hawaii and Lehigh and 30 points and 9 rebounds against a ranked Miami team. This be a perfect pick up for Coach Fran.

Cohen is getting big time looks. We won’t be in that race.

Averaged 20 and 8 this season. CBA a very prestigious and prominent La Salian school (i’m an alumnus!) whose basketball team is always elite. Unfortunately LaSalle is seen as the ultimate safety school.

I don't discount the need to bring in a big and a 3 and D wing if for no other reason but to add depth. I think we have good pieces in place provided the returnees work on their individual skills. Brantley and Brickus showed they are A10 guards and should get better just from added experience. We do need minutes at center but if Rokas works on his strength and quickness he should get the majority of minutes here. I liked what I saw of Marrero and believe he can replace Nickleberry. Gill and Shepherd need to work on their ball handling and shooting but both have shown they can compete at this level. Hopefully they are working hard this off-season. We do need a capable backup at the wing though. Hopefully Mercandino and or Zahn can help here. If Dunphy gets a big and a wing ready to play he can use the two remaining scholarships on players who don't need to help immediately as he builds his roster. I'm optimistic but admit that I'm the definition of fan. Go 'splorers!
