I watched on TV and said the same thing. The tv guys mentioned it several times. He kept saying its sold out . 8000 fans. Tickets split straight down the middle. A lot of the time would say the fans loved that play...then catch himself and say well half of them did. It was a thing of beauty to see our section packed and the fans going wild. For those who taped it ,listen to the commentators excitement and watch the student section right after Ramom throws down that amazing left handed slam. They went crazy. The pride...excitement..the fun. I have said this over and over that we have got to win a big game in front of our fans to ignite them and make them want to come back. That Butler win was what this program needed. Our students experienced it...they now have LaSalle fever...anyway I rewinded the dunk a bunch of times but I then rewinded even more to look at the reaction of our entire fan base. LaSalle has got to get a poster of that and have Ramon sign it and display it. I rewinded it the one time and hit pause to see what the poster would look like. When I hit the pause button to let it go back to regular speed it started into frame by frame mode. So I kept hitting it. It was amazing. When he gets the ball in his left hand he just keeps rising and rising. It was a gravity defying . LaSalle is back!!!

Ramon also has great quotes about playing in the Palestra. That kid gets it.

From slainte pregame, to the anticipation before tipoff, to the constant answer to their attempts to get back in the game, it was an awesome time. Galloway's dunk was the most perfect way to end it. Great showing from La Salle all around especially the students, who have bought in to this team. Can't wait for Thursday - There's no way I can miss the chance to sweep the big 5!

Since we had to watch Curling for the first 8 minutes, can someone try and paint a picture of the atmosphere right before tip off for me? I had this idea that the pre game video would play and the place would go berserk and the SJU people would even be impressed with our pre game stuff. I think we jumped out early 4-0, was it just straight bananas?
Can't believe I missed this one, but I also missed the Butler game so maybe I'm bad luck?
Going to try and find a way to the Apollo - I mean Liacourous - center Thursday

Yes, it was pretty nuts in there.
The pre-game thing at Sliante was third world train car crowded. There was a ton of energy getting into the Palestra. We got in right when the National Anthem played and there was a decent singalong at the end. When the singer hit the end of the song, the singer went nuts. Super loud for the intros. Things got really loud with the quick lead, too.
I had the very worst seat in the house -- last row in one of the corners directly in front of an operating radiator about two inches from my flesh. But even that seat is better than a seat in any arena in the country.
The place really went nuts in the second half. Jerrell got a huge standing ovation after he was a beast on the boards and drew a foul going into a TV timeout. Sam's three pointer and Ramon's dunk at the end were pretty much nuts.
I went in thinking this was going to be one of the most electric atmospheres at a sporting event I'll ever attend in my life. I wasn't wrong at all!
