Cue the Ennio Morricone music. Temple just pulled a huge game out of UMass setting up for a huge game Thursday night. Temple will be desperate as they will look to knock off us, Charlotte, and VCU to reenter tourney talk. Their RPI is now 47. Today's win was big, but a win @ Temple Thursday would be huge.

Thinking hard about this game today. It has some deep implications. Temple not awful at home with two conference losses. They obviously overlooked Duquesne mid week as they were looking ahead to UMASS. Their other loss was to St. Bonas. Outside of St. Louis their home schedule has not been tough and that St. Louis win is keeping Temple hanging on the bubble by a thread. It is arguable that a La Salle win will knock Temple firmly off bubble. They will need to make a major run in the tournament to get their name back in the national discussion. It is also arguable that a Temple win will propel them right back into the tournament. Further wins over Detroit and VCU will put them firmly in. This game is going to be nutty.

There is a lot riding on the line. You can never feel too comfortable with the committee when you're a small relatively unknown and generally non-competitive (at least for the past 20 years). We need to treat every game as a must win. A chance to sweep the Big 5. Long term, continuing to kick Temple while they're down could effect Jordan's decision - he'll be a handful for us to deal with the next four years (although part of me roots for all philly kids to stay in the big five, even if it may hurt la salle). Temple is a national name, they're a bubble team - its a win we really could use on our resume, and don't want to give the committee a chance to potentially pick them over us due to a head to head. Let's get it done, boys. A lot is riding on it!

My number one fear with this game coming up is did WE as a La Salle program just win our Super Bowl against St. Joe's? I have heard little talk about the next game. Everyone is still stuck on our St. Joe's win. I fear a let down game! St. Joe's was big, but it's just one win.

Ramon was already talking about the Temple game in the interview room after SJU and said it was a slip because they are all already talking about it. In Duren's one on one interview with Marc narducci he said they know that the next game is the biggest game and that the one after that will be the biggest game because there are no nights off.
They haven't had a letdown all year, we were worried about a let down after the Nova win and then the Buyler win - the Umass game was NOT a letdown game - guys were sick and banged up and they still had a shot.
My big fear is getting through URI successfully. Do that and they get a week off for the last sprint of Duq, GW and SLU.
Right now their approach to temple doesn't concern me, these guys want to win every night no matter who they play.

Nobody is overlooking TU. First, we owe them. Second, they have been standard bearer for conf.-impossible to overlook. Third, while Big 5 is not the same, an undisputed Big Five Title is no small thing. Chanting"We're # 1 would be SOOOO SWEEEET! Lastly, and most importantly: only way to lose is if Wyatt beats us. Hed is truly a great player who on a given nite can beat anyone. Is he the best in the city? TU will have to deal with Ramon's talent- but as hard as they try, they will not be able to overcome his heart.TD and the cast will play better than their counterparts and we will win.TU will play hard, but they r not better than us and this year we know it; we will play with confidence; resapect our opponebt and Dunph- and then win Big Five.

Great to see some Temple talk because this game is huge! It's great to read about how packed the Palestra was and etc. but it's one win. Time to prepare for our next big game. Temple is now an enigma. No one knows what to make of them after their huge win at UMass. This game will be very telling.

Wyatt is the key. We can't let him beat us. I'd rather see Temple go inside then have Wyatt put up 34 on us.
