To be honest I feel the exact opposite way. I hate the Eagles more than any other team (Red Sox, Cowboys, Nets coming next but a significant drop-off) but I find the Eagles to be a (maddeningly) well run and consistent franchise. Even their down periods seem to be mostly transitional, and they’re back up at the top of the standings pretty quick They have a 29 year old billionaire kid, Julian Lurie, who's only accomplishment in life is that he won the life lottery, in football meetings making football decisions. You were more accomplished 15 years ago at EXP than this brat. They have a head coach and GM that openly talk shit to fans. They wouldn't let a Superbowl winning coach pick his assistant coaches. They used up call Doug, Lurie and Roseman, on Tuesdays after games, to go over the prior week's game plan. My favorite, New Years Eve, 2017 vs the Cowboys... like 10 degrees, by far the coldest game I've ever worked. I was stationed along the Cowboys bench. The Eagles wouldn't put jugs of hot chocolate along the Cowboys sideline, as they did along the Eagles sideline. So I had to huddle up amongst Dez and the rest of the Cowboys receivers around a torpedo heater. I also had to spend 5 bucks per hot chocolate while those posted up on the birds sideline got unlimited, free hot chocolate. So they stepped in it this year where everything is falling into place. But screw that organization. I don't want to wish bad things on people, but they are good in spite of their decisions, not because of their decisions. Fuck em.

Fully expect Sixers to make an early exit from playoffs in their annual El Foldo.

Might be a little too early for the Eagles fans here to want to think about the offseason, but I'm curious what people think. Lots of UFA's, plus the whole Hurts new contract thing. Who do you think they should prioritize keeping, who should they let walk, anybody currently under contract you think they should cut, etc. (Also seems like they're going to lose at least one, and possibly both, coordinators). www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/philadelphia-eagles/

Neumann. I think one free agent they won't sign is Miles Sanders. The Birds never seem willing to give big contracts to running backs and linebackers and I don't think they'll change their position and sign Sanders.

It has to be tiring to see Embiid turn every single playoffs series into a combination of the Willis Reed game and Jordan's Flu Game. Will he be able to play who knows but one thing we know is its very brave that he's even trying so if they lose its definitely not his fault!

Yesterday was a bloodbath for the Philly sports fan. Sixers are non-competitive and blown out and the Phillies lose in excruciating fashion and no match for the Dodgers over a 3 game series.
La Salle fans can relate.

Lindros is more of a tragic story. If he were 20 years later when the NHL took headshots more seriously (but still not seriously enough) he's an all-time great.

La Salle fans can relate. I was on a flight home from Aruba yesterday and the guy across the aisle from me had the Phillies game on his iPad. He was dressed like a Philly super fan: - Eagles sneakers - Phillies socks - Phillies Mesh shorts - Eagles Superbowl T-Shirt - Phillies jersey over the t-shirt - Phillies hat When we landed he threw on a Phillies sweatshirt over top and was watching the game the whole way off the plane and in the baggage area...and he was in the same shuttle as I was to the Car Park spot and had it on. I'm guessing he had a rough day...not just leaving Aruba which sucks bad enough, but then that loss.

Lindros is more of a tragic story. If he were 20 years later when the NHL took headshots more seriously (but still not seriously enough) he's an all-time great. The concussions were certainly a big problem. but his parents were a big problem as well. They were so heavily involved in everything and it really played with Lindros' head.
