From Tom Gola 2.0. I know some thinks he throws crap against the wall can take this for what itβs worth.
Luca Colceag has committed to Montana State. We will see where La Salle goes from here to fill their last open scholarship.

27-8 last year, nice facility, and beautiful landscape. I guess they were a bigger threat than we all thought.
Wonder if We sit tight and keep the scholarship or have someone else we are recruiting.

For whatever reason, that school is becoming a draw from this region. I know 3 kids who are underclassmen there from Delaware and Chester counties.

Damn 2.0 failed us Wonder how they will fill that last scholarship. they have 2 scholarships left. kyle thompson is not on scholarship per a grad assistant for last year's team. dunphy and staff have really done a fine job of re-assembling this roster. once the school confirms the mercandino commit, they'll have 11 scholarship players who all appear to have a10-level talent along with 3 walk-ons. if they have a chance at someone else who can come in and compete for minutes right away, i'd assume they'd bring him in, but if not, they've got enough bodies to put a competitive team out there and could save the scholarship for the 2023 class.

I would like to see them bring in a developmental big this year to replace Doucore who is the only player on the roster who will not be eligible for 2023-24. Could be a new recruit or a transfer with 2 or 3 years of eligibility left.

Dunph developed Sergio Olmos at Temple 2 decades ago. The kid was a real project and became a solid contributor. I believe Sergio still may be playing in Europeβ¦.

can't believe no one has posted here for almost a week. still waiting for the lucas mercandino commitment and the ooc schedule to be formally announced.
heard this weekend that in addition to st bonaventure, rokas was also being actively recruited by wake forest, temple, george mason and univ of san diego (and a couple more i can't recall). donnie is currently in spain at the fiba u17 world cup tournament. looks like international recruiting will continue in 2023. love it.
roster was updated with numbers for rokas (35), hassan (4) and fousseyni (11).

Itβs a highlight reel but he looks super comfortable pulling that corner three. Would be great to have a guy that shoots and hits that with a confident regularity.

Can we get the announcer too? Trip-lay! can replace Pow!, and he can emphasize it three times for big shots.

Just basing this on the highlights, Colceag is the one of the three that I think would have made an immediate impact. But I'm very satisfied with signing 2 of the 3 overseas players we were targeting. Not really sure what we'll look like on the floor in November, but having Fran at the reins with talented players is a good start.

I am confident these kids will get better coaching from Dunph and will develop. What I am most excited about is not losing the coaching battle almost every night.

Agree on 83 and 88's posts. Colceag looked more developed and played in a higher skill and tempo league. Also, we would have had a far different record with Fran coaching last year's roster.

I kind of agree that Colceag looks the most promising from the film compared to Lucas and Rokas but trying to take that with a grain of salt.
Also, Rokas had a lot more interest including some P5 teams. If anything I trust Mark Schmidt and Kim English eye for talent (obviously Dunphy too) who both pursued him.
