Not meaning to look ahead here, but the St. Bonas game worries me. All indications are that URI is going to beat them today as they've been sitting around in Kingston for two days now and the game got pushed to 7PM. I'm expecting URI to take advantage of home court advantage due to the blizzard. I'm worried for a perfect trap set up against a very good offensive team. Our last loss was to a good offensive team. If St. Bonas lose today to URI, they will be looking to recoup their losses at home Wed.

The Bonnies aren't THAT capable of beating us. I'd be more worried about them riding the momentum of a good win in Rhody. If they lose to Rhody, their season is on the ropes and they might get more easily panicked but if they secure a win, they are going to start a momentum wave. BTW, they have seen snow before too being from Olean, and I'm sure they've even experienced the lockdown like they're seeing in Rhode Island today. Not every scenario forces good basketball players to lose their focus.

Really could have used St. Joe's knocking off Umass. St joe's officially stinks and a win will not do much. A loss will be devastating. Bonnies pulled it out in Kingston. We should demolish that team

UMass still has to play Temple, Xavier, Butler and VCU as well as a game at SBU. They will come back to the middle of the pack as well. Degler made a good point today that we are the only school to have played the Top 6 teams in the league - meaning there's a good chance some of those teams will rack up losses when they play some more games against top teams. For us to have gone 5-3 in that stretch is really awesome. Hopefully it's the inverse of last year with a really strong finish

olean is a tough place to play, if lasalle wins that they are legitimate. i want to see galloway playing man on man defense on wyatt in the temple game, i assume all of you saw the end of the dayton temple game on espn3 replay.

Wyatt has been carrying that Temple team. Lets hope he's having an off night in about 11 days.

As we learned from last year, every game down the stretch is important. This team has shown they will not get ahead of themselves. All of these games will be tough. St. B is just the start.

I'm worried about this game too. Classic *trap*...after a much-too-easy win, and with St Josephine & Temple coming up next

Take a look at the Bonnie message boards. They are calling for "all hands on deck" for the La Salle game. They need this game and think they have a very favorable end of the regular season. Hate using that phrase but it looks like their Super Bowl. Should be a wild night. I believe that SBU has free video streaming. Get your popcorn.
I went to Magic -Sixers game this week and had a chance to meet Andrew Nicholson. What a very nice young man. I wish him the best and hope he saves his money. Martelli was there even though Jameer was hurt. Rondre Jefferson had seats on the baseline near the Magic bench.

We haven't played st Louis yet, so what he should of said was we have played 4 of the top 5 teams.

It's going to be a tough game, as any game on the road in the A10 has proven to be this year. Especially with the emotional big five games next week, its a bit of a trap game... but I think the bye week has us focused on the main prize. I see a solid 7-10 point win.

Thinking more about it, the URI game scares me more. This team doesn't look ahead - but coming off what could be potentially a Big 5 title and then going to a tough tough tough URI team .........

The guys have to stay focused on the game... whether there is 5 feet of snow or not. The games in Olean are never easy but as long as our guys play with focus and don't force anything then it should be a win for the good guys.

Just as a very minor side story, the Bonnies were stuck in RI since Thursday. Supposedly they were without electricity, hot water and hot food since power got knocked out in their hotel. Could this team be exhausted leading into Wednesday's game? If Galloway is on Wednesday night watch out.

I thought that was every day in Olean? I'M KIDDING!!!!! in all seriousness, I don't think it will impact them...maybe they won't be as prepared as you would expect, but they have almost the entire team from last year back and they won @ SJU and @ Temple. Like every game, our guys need to be really focused. I think they will be, otherwise they would've probably slept-walked through the Fordham game and won by 12 or 15, but they were geared up for Fordham as much as they were for VCU and Butler.

I would have to believe that G will throw the Bonnies W's over Temple and St Joes in face of the Team, as motivation to avoid any letdown this week. We're too close to let his season slip away. The experience of beating VCU and GW on the road will help us out here. I think it'll be close, but I think we come out on top. Would love to see Sam Mill continue his scoring touch.

Philahoops preview
Little nugget I just tweeted out. Did you know: Ramon Galloway has 62 three pointers and 62 two pointers this season. Is he the most versatile player in the Atlantic 10?

Ramon has 814 career points at La Salle. Averages 17.1 per game. Would need 11 more games at that figure get get to 1000. Here's hoping he gets at least 11 more games.

I'm surprised we're not talking a lot about the game tonight. I will be very happy if La Salle wins and despite Bonnies record, I would chalk this up as a good win.
Especially with the trap + the fact that they shot lights out last game. I would expect a let down for both reasons and don't have a great feeling about this one.
I do think this is our year, and I should do a better job ignoring my worries given that they are based upon previous years' failures. Hard to not worry about this one though.

I for one, am extremely worried about tonights game. Even though we are a 3 1/2 point favorite. Just wondering, if St. Bona wins tonight would we have to, at least, consider them Big 5 champs at 3 - 0.

St. Bonas might be very tired tonight. They had a very long weekend and they have not been consistent at home. We have to bury them early.

I fully expect our guys to understand that they need to have the focus and energy tonight that they will have on Saturday if they want to make Saturday worthwhile
The one game at a time approach is a reality with this group, otherwise you would have seen a flat team on Saturday and against GW. The loss to UMass was not a result of the team's lack of focus it was definitely a combination of being physically exhausted, mentally worn and quite honestly some key players were sick-the bye week was a perfect fit for them to get healthy and rested and that showed on Saturday and will continue the next 4 games. Then there is another week off that will allow for an all out blitz on the final 3 games.

I'm trying not to look at this game from the "old" La Salle vantage point, but from the "new" La Salle style. That means playing real tough D against all opponents, create turnovers leading to easy baskets, protect the ball minimizing our on turnovers, and make a high percentage of our foul shots. If we continue to do those things good things (scoring points)happen. In many instances that combination is enough to win in the conference. Notice I haven't yet mention 3 point shooting. When we also get it above 40% we're extremely difficult to beat no matter the opponent. Let's go New Explorers!!!
