Completely different direction here... But just read that Jordan Hall signed with an agent and is declaring for the NBA draft. The rule changed. He can come back. Most likely will go to draft. A couple teams interested

"The transfer portal is great for, you know, a kid who knows where they're going, which means they were thinking about it a while back, who has a place ready for them, a spot ready for them," Auriemma said.
"The transfer portal is great for kids who have been tampered with before entering the transfer portal and have already exited the transfer portal by committing to their next school."

And comes off like quite an asshole. Yeah, I like this quote..."And, you know, every time that we're in this situation, I always ask the kid, 'What's wrong with you?' That's my first question. Whenever a kid wants to transfer, I say, 'What's wrong with you? You're at a great place, you're starting, you're playing a lot of minutes. You seem to be, you know, really successful. So there's got to be something wrong with you.'

More like he's checked out, as in clueless. Great coach, but I don't know how you say what he said.

Imagine having opinions about recruiting when you have what is likely a 90% success rate and get basically anyone you want.

There's no such thing as "too wealthy" to the uber-wealthy.

OK. I'll pile on as well. "And there's something wrong with this idea of, you know, student-athlete welfare, that everything should be done to accommodate the student-athlete, with no regard whatsoever to the coaches who work their ass off, to recruit these kids in the first place, work with them, help them get better, make them the player that they are. And then they up and leave with no consequences whatsoever."s Really Geno?

Has Geno ever been really hurt by transfers? Delle Donne is the only one who comes to my mind. So he seems to still be licking his wounds over her xfer to the Blue Hens, THIRTEEN years ago. Sour grapes, much? He is so tiresome.

According to all reports, Elena at 18 really didn't want to leave her special needs sister. She transferred to Delaware without ever taking a class at UConn. She played volleyball her first year at UD. Geno has stated that he understood Elena's decision. Geno also chose Elena to be on the 2016 Olympic team in Rio. If he was upset about her leaving UConn obviously didn't hold a grudge.
Is this the depths I have fallen to? Becoming the defender of Geno?

Is this the depths I have fallen to? Becoming the defender of Geno? Well it depends. Do you defend Phil as well?

Say what? I will never get hired as an NBA scout. Yes...based on the team that drafts him (hopefully) he probably will be a G league guy initially...

What an odd situation...great news for the hawks though.
Maybe they can figure out how to win some games.
