LOL you're going to feel silly when you sober up and realize there are only 7 days in a week. Check the Beatles songbook. That was before their psychedelic phase, but they still must have been smoking something.

Abstruse Transfers Dept. : Pepperdine 6'-2' sophomore transfer SG Sedrick Altman ( Colony H.S. - Rialto, CA ) has committed to Rider. Perhaps enticed by the Rider campus / facilities ? Apropos nothing, I had a couple friends who started at Pepperdine and left. Both said two things drove them away - the fact that the campus is dry (alcohol-wise) and it is very religious too. I took a friend of mine's kid on a tour around Southern California colleges a few years back and Pepperdine was one of them... I shit you not, they had flyers plastered around the school for some kind of club meeting titled "HOW TO TALK TO GIRLS." I wish I still had the pictures I took of that, and the sheer volume of them. Can confirm it's very Christian, and dry.
The campus location is great, but the actual architecture thereof is horrible. If you've ever been forced to watch Zoey 101, that was Pacific Coast Academy. La Salle's College Hall beats anything there.

Penn State 6'-4" junior SG Izaiah Brockington ( Archbishop Ryan H.S., Phila. ) is now back in the Transfer portal. Any possible interest by Coach Ash utilizing him as a wing / 3-point marksman ? How many guys like this do we need to recruit? We have just 2 scholarships and no frontcourt experience or and lack of talent. We need to find someone who can give us consistent quality minutes in the frontcourt because it isn't in the program right now. explorer88 : SMH

67 I would be totally shocked if we were still involved after the Nickelberry commitment.

St. Joe's Jordan Hall is in the portal. Huge hit for the Hawks. They officially are behind us in the offseason portal impact world.

Big loss for them. Scored 11, 22, and 17 against us. Second member of the A10 All-Rookie team to enter the portal.

Needs to get out of Philly. He will have no shortage of options.

Needs to get out of Philly. I saw that. It's weird though. He's not from Philly, he's from Wildwood. He played at O'Hara and then NG...but he's not from Philadelphia. Something's up. Something happened.

This is a HUGE loss for SJU. I was actually impressed by Lange's work this offseason. He seemed to be making progress with his roster.
Something clearly happened and it's a bad look for Lange. Just a month ago, Hall had reaffirmed his commitment to the media.
Petey Buckets was very blunt today but I completely agree with him....Martelli's departure and Lange's hire and era has been a disaster.

Philadelphia is more dangerous than it was four years ago. Yes, but in a meaningful way? In a way that would make a 20-year-old think he had to get out? I was speaking more in the abstract. Maybe it is that simple.

I'm not gonna lie, I was very happy to see pain inflicted upon the Hawks but I immediately wanted to make sure someone was checking in with Brickus and making sure we're good

Maybe it is that simple. Yes...in a meaningful way - unless you don't consider a 58.4% increase in homicides from 4 years ago meaningful. Annual Homicides in Philadelphia: 2017 - 315 2018 - 353 2019 - 356 2020 - 499

It is non basketball related. He has a ton of high major interest. Has nothing to do with Lange. Leave it alone

Yeah, Just looked at his tweet. He says "For personal reasons, I feel that it is in my best interest to leave the Philadelphia area for the remainder of my college career."
Maybe playing at several schools locally in high school caused a lot of distractions, and to focus he felt he needed to move out of the area. I didn't see it as anything bad about Philly per se...just a change of scenery for the kid.

Traci Carr said in a feature article about him that he could not move back to Philly because he would wind up either in jail or dead. Remember Nurideen Lindsay who was headed here before ending up at Rider (or maybe somewhere else before that?) Dr. G said in an article about Nurideen that he was in a really bad situation and had to escape Philly. I forget the details but I think someone really close to him was murdered.
He could have family members here in Philly he stayed with during his high school years. Also, it’s not like full-time living in Wildwood is a great place. There is a poverty rate over 20 percent for full-time residents.
Or maybe he broke up with a girlfriend. Who knows.

And that could all be true. But he said he was coming back like five weeks ago. So something changed.
