IMO, Michigan will win the title this year. With that, Phil gets a ring. Could be more perfect *though not) than the "perfect season" on Hawk Hill.
The Zags and Baylor look really good too. But I think the Big 10 battleground will get UM battle tested far more than the Zags and reasonably better than Baylor/ Big 12 with KU down this year.
What say you?

I say the title winds up in Spokane.

As someone who watches more Michigan than La Salle, I hope you’re right. This is the best Michigan team since at least 2013. I’m hoping they don’t get burnout from all the make up games from the government induced pause despite 0 positive cases.

Watched a couple of their games recently. They look solid. In both games, the announcers (different crews) said how smart it was that Howard hired Martelli and what a mistake it was for St. Joe's administrstion to let him go.

what a mistake it was for St. Joe's administrstion to let him go. In hindsight, they aren't wrong. Lange probably wasn't the guy.

Phil is 2-1 so far in his stint as head coach since Howard's suspension. For some reason, Michigan is a 2 point favorite tonight at home against #24 Iowa. Would be amazing for Martelli to notch that win.

Michigan matches up well with Iowa and were winning by double digits late in Iowa City before it got interesting very late. The only thing that worries me is Michigan is playing on short rest and Keegan Murray will probably play better. A win tonight and I think Michigan is in tournament barring a Q3 or worse loss in B1G tournament. Phil has been heaping praise on the assistants and basically just managed the game not calling offense or defense.

Michigan v Iowa is another St Joe Prep (Martelli) v La Salle High (Mc Caffery) showdown. From PCL to Big 10... Who'd a thunk it 40+ years ago?

Apparently Phil was an assistant and coached against Fran as a senior.
