Hi everyone,
Some of you may remember a few years back when I talked about my radio show and we spent the 2nd hour one week on La Salle basketball (I've since stopped doing that particular show on the station I was at, and just kind of do it on my own now).
But in addition to that, in the last few months, my brother and I have started doing a sports history Podcast. It's called "Hello, Old Sports" (yes, I came up with the name). We're planning on doing an episode, which I'm guessing will end up being a 2-parter, on La Salle basketball at some time in March. I'm still thinking about the format and how I want to structure it, but I'm thinking my brother and I will kind of go through the main historical points, and then I can splice in a few different "interviews" with other people about certain specific topics. For example, I wasn't around for anything prior to 2004, but plenty of people on here I'm sure have memories of the Lionel era, or the 1968-1969 team. (I don't believe we have anyone who goes back to the Gola Era, but I'd love to be wrong on that).
If anyone may potentially be interested in discussing a specific topic, please let me know. Given the time constraints and the limits of my interest/ability in spending a lot of time editing, these would probably be like 10-15 minute or so discussions that we'd then insert into the longer piece of my brother and I talking. We usually record over Zoom, as my brother lives in DC and I live in NY, so I'd prefer to do it that way (video component optional for you, only the audio gets published anyway), but we can work out the details on an individual basis. I'd be looking to record these in late February or early March probably.
Either on this thread or via PM, let me know if you might be interested and what topic(s) you might like to cover. Any era of La Salle basketball would be good, but obviously I'm looking for variety, and especially to cover things that happened before I started following the program, but I'm sure anyone under 40 is mostly only going to have the 2013 run as their topic of choice, understandably.
