No fans at A10s, unsurprisingly.

Well I want to assure you folks that I'll be continuing my standing policy of going to Atlantic City for the A-10 Tourney weekend this year. I'll be investing in various craps games that have much better expected yields than actual investments currently have. And if anybody stops into Pic-A-Lilli or Irish Pub we can discuss the nuances of the GlitterBro vs. Mr. D feud.

With the obvious caveat of assuming these games are actually played today, here's the schedule:
Second Round; Thursday, March 12
Game 3: No. 8 UMass vs. No. 9 VCU, 12 p.m. Game 4: No. 5 St. Bonaventure vs. No. 12 George Mason, 2:30 p.m. Game 5: No. 7 Davidson vs. No. 10 La Salle, 6 p.m. Game 6: No. 6 Duquesne vs. No 14. Fordham, 8:30 p.m.

All this is for naught. There's no chance March Madness is happening this year.

The NCAA made $933 Million in revenue from last year's tournament with $800 Million coming from broadcast rights and the rest from ticket sales, corporate sponsorships and TV advertisements. I can't see the NCAA giving up the $800+ Million in TV rights.

Truthfully if things escalate at a pace they did yesterday in terms of cancellations, we’ll be looking at a very different world in 12 hours.

Right, just look at the map of Gobert's last 10 days. Its incredible how many paths have to be followed at this point.

If NCAA cancels the Tournament in the next day or so, do conferences just say EFFF it and send the remaining teams home from their conference tourneys?

That could be hundreds of dollars of lost revenue.

How many arenas have hosted the Jazz (or yet-to-be-identified player(s) that will test positive) in the past two weeks and will also host NCAA tourney games, conference or otherwise?

Mitchell was the only one who tested positive of the 58 test given.
Shams Charania @shamscharania · 5m Sources: Donovan Mitchell was the only Jazz player/personnel to test positive for coronavirus out of 58 tests administered on Wednesday night. Remaining tests came back negative.

At least 4, those that had it could of been carrying the virus since last week, if not earlier. Now that we will conducting tests on a much wider scale I would expect a lot more confirmed cases will be reported. Going to refrain from putting any political twist on this but this is going to be a disaster all the way around for a little bit.

Hoping Trump postpones the election until 2024. It's too unsafe to go to polling stations.

Big 10, SEC and American just cancelled their tournament. Everything is shutting down fast. Crazy times. It's the right thing to do, but this is the first time in my lifetime (62 years) that I've seen anything like the impact this is having on the world.

Bright side: Ash’s first .500 season intact! Downside: what are we going to watch while we are all stuck at home besides the news?

Kudos to the Ivy League. They looked to me like they were making the most unpopular decision in the moment, and almost everyone questioned their overreaction. But they might have been right all along, and they were gutsy to be the first to announce a shutdown. Only surprising thing is that they didn't name Yale and Penn and Harvard "co champions."
A smattering of fans complained last night on A10 social media about their last minute change of plans and their $200 tickets. I can sort of relate to a sense of disappointment and letdown, but also I wish people realized this whole thing is bigger than them. And just thinking how the players must feel, who not only won't play but might not be able to have graduation, it is just too tragic.

Another upside is the players can watch movies on the bus!
I hope all get home safe and quickly. It must be a logistical nightmare with all of the conflicting info, but I trust that our admin is handling it in a very proactive and careful manner.
