Guess Vegas isn't expecting a letdown, huh? I hope we win both this week.

Can't let this become a half-court game. Make them work to bring the ball up and get steals, I think we should take this one. But UMass is tough and has a ton of size, so our guys need to be ready.

UMass is solid and 8.5 is a lot of points... I think we win the game - not so sure about covering, however.

That's a big line. I think it will be a lot closer than that.
Looking forward to another big crowd tomorrow.

I wish college teams could make trades. We'd match up perfectly with UMass.

I wish college teams could make trades. We'd match up perfectly with UMass. And GW... one of the most overlooked front courts in the conference

Ken Pomeroy projects a 12-point win over UMass and 1-pt win at GW
Generally the Vegas lines are within 1-pt of Pomeroy projections, making 8.5 point spread vs UMass smaller than you'd expect

I expected 5 pts over UMASS. The GW spead appears accurate. Regardless..2 wins will keep us in the 20-30 RPI range I would think. 2 W's would get us in good positon for conference tie breakers. We finish top 4 in the A10, I don't see how we don't get an at large bid.
BTW...anyone see the WVU/Kansas game last night? Higgins looked a bit like G last night, reeming out AM. ALOT. I never saw a coach ride a player like that in the first half. In the end, AM had a pretty good nigh. But he just has his own way of playing basketball. Great talent, but questionalbel bball IQ.

Two excellent points. I had La Salle -5 or 6 over UMASS and -1 or -2 over GW. Both will be tough but we need two W's this week. Saw Murray in first half of last night's game with Kansas. Fran Fraschilla was commenting about seeing him in HS and at La Salle. Talented but frustrating. I wonder what Murray's future looks like?

If I'm guessing, 2 years from now he's half-assing it overseas for a big paycheck.

At one point during the game, you could hear Huggins, just screaming during a Kansas foul shot attempts. The announcers claimed he was yelling at the refs, but I swear he was screaming at AM. Sat him after playing about 2 minutes in the first half because he was "pouting". Unbelievable. Sad part is he ended up with 17 pts and 7 rebs after a slow start. Has a nice shooting touch, but is ALWAYS out of position.

Somewhere the Cleveland Indians of "Major League" and their American Express ad are smiling. Appreciate the effort to promote the team, but that really made me laugh. "All Gold everything" is my new T-shirt slogan

Giannini is 7-1 vs Kellogg. Yet their fans say "La salle has never been among the elite in the A10" ...I believe we are now. Who cares about 1994 !! If you bring those teams in then you have to count our 1992 team. I know it wasin a different conf, but so was umass, essentially, except in name.

Thirty minutes of a miserably boring class stand between me and the game. Cannot wait.
