As long as I can remember the volleyball program was never competitive but today they clinched their 1st ever A10 Championship berth. Congrats to everyone involved. That is a big deal.
Anyone know what the main reasons are for the turaround? Coaching? More scholarship dollars?

Coaching. My sister was under the old coach and he lived on the apathy of the prior admin.
I think the team has won more A10 games this year than under the last coach’s tenure.

Joe, You are correct. My cousin played for that guy, an example of of the lowest common denominator being acceptable, and why the university has an enormous hole to get out of, in order to get to respectability.

For some perspective, the volleyball team has had 2 winning seaseons, overall record wise, since 1982. TWO. Not sure about their A10 record on a yearly basis, but I can't remember them ever winning 3 or 4 league games in a single year.

La Salle's record book doesn't have A10 records in it, but I'd wager that the 8 A10 wins this year are 3-5 short of Dave Stever's tenure.

They also had a player named co-player of the week in the A10 for the first time ever in the program's history. It's hard to believe this is the first time in 23 years of A10 play that they've had a player-of-the-week, but it speaks to the coaching and the talent she is now recruiting. She was a solid player in her own right as an All-Big East player and is bringing a strong winning attitude. Kudos to the team.
