That is hysterical. Seriously Sam Mills giveth Sam Mills almost taketh. Gotta give him credit for hitting that bi shot, and Galloway seems to have "it".

First top-10 victory since 1980. I know we haven't played that many but that's still a shocking stat, I'm glad it ended tonight

I just got back from the game. It was pretty to look at sometimes but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Defense won it for us. And some gutsy offense by Ty, Sam and Ramon at the end. Terrific win. CONGRATS to Coach G, the entire team for hanging in there when the shots wouldn't fall. BIG TIME WIN.

Was hoping WIP would be talking La Salle/ Big 5. Of course we're getting who the Eagles should take 3 months from now in the draft.

@franfraschilla: LaSalle's 1st Top 10 win since Kurt Kanaskie & great Michael Brooks did it in 1980. Brooks captained U.S. Olympic Team that boycotted in '80

How about G's post game " we are one of the better teams in one of the better leagues in the country" He had his arms spread across the chairs and said it with confidence. I think the players and the coaches are starting to feel it. I have been saying that LaSalle needs to learn how to win. We beat a team who is great down the stretch and clutch in the final seconds. Lets hope this is the start of something big. Doug Overton always said Lionel taught us how to win and when there was 2minutes left in the game we knew we were going to find a way to win. Also this game was won on D. This wasn't a we shot the lights out and caught lightening. These guy grinded it out. Now lets take this down to Virginia.

Galloway's drive and finish was phenomenal. However when you watch the clip his "presence" in the moment in the next 2.7 secs was one of those HUGE "little things" that goes unnoticed. HE DID NOT FOUL his man on the desperation shot. When you see the clip Galloway does just enough to get in the way and then backs off without fouling... Apparently he is dealing with an injury and a family matter and last night he overcame everything and OWNED the last :08... Impressive all the way around and the La Salle Defense last night was at another level!!!!!

Finally got time last night and this morning to check out all the stories and video reports on the game. I loved every minute of it.
What a great win that was. The team absolutely gutted it out and made the big plays when they needed them. Every one of the players made a positive contribution. I pray that Ramon's family issues get resolved because that kid has been a godsend for La Salle. It's a shame we only have him for two years.
I was especially happy for Sam Mills. That last foul shot went in and out on him and when Butler scored, I thought it was over. Sam would have taken some undeserved heat for that but Ramon had his back and came through with an absolutely clutch basket. Other than Tyreek, I thought Sam played the best game of anyone on the team. Even though he missed his threes, he looked a lot more confident and was able to make his floaters and get to the line a couple times. He was flat-out awesome on the defensive end. With all the switching they do, all they players end up covering different guys throughout the game, but it seemed like Sam was either on Jones or Dunham during the second half and neither of them could get by him or get good shots off with Sam in their face. I think this game was a huge confidence boost for Sam. If he's back to his old form, this team becomes that much better.
VCU is going to be extremely difficult to beat, but if La Salle keeps the turnovers down and attacks their pressure looking to score, I think they can beat them. Once you beat their pressure, there are usually some good shots to be had.
