It's been a long time between big wins. Will be great to see sportscenter tonight. Congrats to G and the team!

@sethdavishoops: Big win for LaSalle at home over Butler tonight. Atlantic 10 watchers have been talking up the Explorers since October.

Congrats Explos! Already receive 2 texts: one from a UMass friend and one from a Hawk friend. Maybe they are more stunned than me.

Anyone who tries to say anything smarmy tonight, La Salle fan or otherwise, can take a (body part) and (thrusting verb) up their (bodily cavity). First Top 10 win since January of 1980. I was 6 years from being born.

Great photos from the game on ESPN site. Go to "mens basketball", then click on "teams", the LaSalle. INfo on the game there. One of the tabs is "photos". Photo #11 is unbelievable. It has Ramon going in for the winning layup with 3 guys on him, and in the background is the scoreboard with Butler up by 1! LaSalle needs to sell a poster of this photo!. From the money, they can build a new arena.

I am so happy for the fans. I just wanted the crowd to get a taste of what it is like to beat a top team then storm the court. These students have only known disappointment. When Mills's 3 didnt drop against temple last year at Gola I was so bummed for the fans. This was a Big win..fans stormed the court..riding high....lets get greedy

CSN has video of students rushing the court. We'll see if the other stations have it also, but they prob shot a few minutes of the first half and left the building.

I'd say this beats the win over SJU in 2001. Butler is a well-coached team. Roosevelt Jones' took the same type of shot he made in the Gonzaga game again and again - drive to the lane and throw up a floater. Fortunately, it stopped going in.
Tyreek looked like the Duren of last year: All-conference point guard
Galloway made just three shots. He gets out of control at times but he knows how to stand out. Three highlight reel plays- a windmill dunk, a nasty up-and-under and of course the game-winning layup.
D tonight was NAS-TEEE. The box score lists 10 steals. In the second half if seemed as if they stole the ball off one of their guards every other possession.

Local media report…
Looks like FOX 29 sent their one sports photographer to Temple game. Howard Eskin ran a graphic with local basketball scores. He mentioned it was a big win for La Salle but never mentioned that Butler is a ranked team. No video. Stupid.
Ch. 6 lead college basketball with La Salle and some video. But they did not have video of students storming the court. They obviously left to grab the other games around town.
Missed Ch.3, flipping around.
Surprisingly Channel 10 sports started with La Salle, I’ve never seen that before…they used CSN video. In the past we have been lucky to get a graphic with score over at Ch10.

And a quick note. Ramon Galloway did not start this game because he is dealing with issues regarding his mother. If you look at our video on the site, he is either crying or fighting back tears the entire time.
My question about his emotion almost brought the interview to a halt. The kid is my favorite La Salle basketball player in the 10 years or so that I've followed this team. His raw emotion, his genuine attitude and such is really refreshing. You can say that about a lot of these players.
I've not always been high of Giannini (as an alum), but the way he interacts with his players and the way that they play FOR him, has really changed my mind this year. Watching him choke back tears when talking about Galloway shows a caring person which, in the scheme of things, is more important than winning at all costs.
Winning helps though. ;D
