The board has gone full snark already. What will it be like if (when) we get blowed out by No. 11 Miami on Wednesday??

With all the other significantly progressive (and controversial) changes in the past few years under new leadership, including those specific to athletics, you have to imagine there's conversations about Giannini's future and the direction of the program. There'd be something wrong if these conversations weren't taking place. "EXTEND! EXTEND! EXTEND!" - any such conversation with Brennan around Sigh.. I don’t know how many times I have to say it.. But that narrative is incorrect.. Has always been, will always be.. Say what you want about TB (you are probably right), but this? Absolutely not.. A basic understanding of the school’s structure of employee hiring at the VP level or higher (this is certainly higher) knows how these contracts were negotiated..

I know that you are right, but a self-respecting AD would never allow a board to hamstring his department's success so greatly. That and I watched him keep coaches on payroll who didn't win an A10 game for almost a decade.

At least there Herald sent a reporter to the game... Nothing from the Philadelphia papers.

I batted an eye, because I was that LaSalle fan that was quoted in the article giving the Miami coach a hard time.

I hate that quote. It's a loser's quote. As if nothing could have been done to address or change anything during the last 22 minutes. What is a coach even for on game day? (in terms of this quote).

His quote is retrospective, at a time when nothing could have been done to address or change those last 22 minutes.

Well as G would say "awww shucks, we'll try to play better next game!". Interpretation: I am very well paid for what I do but I have no idea how to teach or mold into an offensive game style since I never ever developed one. As for defense... we worked on it all summer! Oh well, no worries with that contract extension!

I’m realistic enough to expect some losses and don’t care what’s said after them.

The really mediocre Boston College team beat No. 1 Duke this weekend. The loss isn't quite as bad looking.
