Stukes is 1-3 with 2 points and 1 assist. I don't know how many turnovers.. 5th year senior you need to get more.

Brookins needs more time, tony much less.
We also commit some of the dumbest fouls in America. Horrible showing today.

The lack of productivity of our "team offense" has now given way to pure school yard O. My thoughts exactly. But these guys would be a long time between games.

I can’t watch Tony Washington anymore, please keep him on the bench and get Brookins in there. We also commit some of the dumbest fouls in America. Horrible showing today. Let Miles get experience!

It's a shame we have such a special player in BJ whose talent is being wasted.

We had no answer for the size of Northwestern and BC. MacIntosh yesterday and both Bowman and Robinson were too big and talented for our guards. We lack bulk and I'm not sure there is much we can do about it. We just can't seem to get kids with size, strength and skill. I assume that is the difference between a power 5 conference and the mid majors. After watching this weekend,I appreciate the sweet 16 run even more. I hate having to face reality.

I guess we'll never see a Lionel Simmons, a Doug Overton, or even a Jack Hurd ever again in our lifetime because the school/athletic program has accepted the idea of forever being a "Mid-Major."

- Can anyone identify the last game where we could say we out-coached our opponent? (The sweet 16 doesn't count since our lineup was caused by injury and not G's choice).
- La Salle has no hoops identity whatsoever. None. Just what do you associate us with? The only thing that I can think of is a coach who amazingly can recruit despite plying in one of the most pathetic facilities in Division 1 sports. No offensive identity and no defensive identity.
- Our centers pose no challenge to the opponent at all. At around 18:00 of the 2nd half, the 6' Pookie blocked the 6'10" Popovic, who then got the ball back and put it in over Tony as though he wasn't even there. TW definitely just lacks athleticism - he can jump a little higher than someone like Popovic, but lacks his sound basketball fundamentals.
The Northwestern big man also repeatedly showed superior athleticism even though I can't even remember his name. I was so optimistic after reading about Tony's health issues last year, but he's basically the same player from what I've seen. Serviceable at best. It's not a question of effort, just ability.
- I hate so say it, but unless BJ, PP, and AS all have very good games we are simply not going to win. I'm afraid the combo of Tony Washington and Miles Brookins can't hold down the fort against this level of competition. Our frontcourt will be consistently outplayed and we have no shot when our backcourt is also dominated like today.
- Damn. What to do?

I didn't fabricate those stats. He did it himself. No man crush at all. Just being fair to the young man. The kid has pluses and minuses. But i won't finger point a player like you do. It's a team game. The team lost that game today. The team shot way too many threes and made a horrendous percentage except for BJ. The team got out-hustled today on the boards. The team did not defend today. To single out Stukes because he scored 2 points is just flat out wrong on your part. The TEAM played lousy. Your initial question yesterday whether you were too harsh on the young man seems to be answered.

Texas Tech is hammering Northwestern. Someone mentioned lack of energy yesterday and I heard nothing from bench yesterday or today. TT bench is so loud and just pushing their players on the floor. TT plays every possession hard.

Pookie can occasionally hit a step back 3, however, it's not a high percentage shot, and certainly not a preferred shot. Yet, he seems to take a handful of them per game. Again, shot selection is not a priority to this team.

Saw that BC closed the first half on a 17-5 run, and I checked in a couple times in the second half. Otherwise glad I missed this mess. Went back and checked our stats during that BC run.
This is off the play-by-play - Turnovers 5, Missed 3s 6, Missed jumpers 5, Missed Layups 2 and 1 Made 3. Other 2 points were at the FT line.
11 missed jumpers over the final 10 minutes of the half. Reminds me of the Sixers third quarter meltdown last night. Too many jumpers and not enough driving to the hoop. That's my only commentary on this one.

TT plays every possession hard. I like Amar Stukes. But substitute Ramon Galloway for Amar, and what kind of team do we then have? Not picking on Stukes, but we need an SUPER-ENTHUSIASTIC, All-ENERGY-DEMANDED, JUST DO IT! leader.

Not that BJ is at the L-Train level but he is a pretty damn good player who we have currently. Galloway was a top level player. We have the talent on this team, but there is no offensive game plan. We don’t make a good players better. BJ has to create almost every basket on his own. He never has an easy dunk or wide open three thanks to gold ball movement.

I looked for some positives after yesterday's game, but didn't see many today. BC is not a good team and we never even challenged them in the last 25 minutes. Three point shooting was really bad today (8-29, I think) and for some reason, we weren't trying to get to the basket until the game was just about over. Also, why did we attempt to play like 7 minutes without a center or forward on the floor in the second half? I understand that Tony hasn't been great, but we got just about no stops during that stretch and they got to the hole any time they wanted.

Pookie had a really poor shooting day, but he’s actually been colder and colder by the game so far. Take away Price and Roberts, and factor in Phiri’s fruitless 20 minutes today, not enough points most nights without Pookie shooting over 40%.
Also worried about the climb in opp FG% since first game of season. Need to recommit on the defensive end before Miami and Temple.

G supporters, let's hear what a great representative he is for our school! Hardly ever wins a meaningful game, and comments such as difficult to defeat a good team when they are coming off a loss is absurd!

Is not the selling point to coming to La Salle (under G) the basic free rein the guys have on offense?

If we are going to keep G he has got to change to a system offense like the old Princeton offense. He simply cannot coach and get the best out of his players. We always look like a team that has not practiced before. The sad thing is Boston College stinks. Be lucky to be .500.

Is not the selling point to coming to La Salle (under G) the basic free rein the guys have on offense? A free-wheeling offense with opportunity to do what you do best is a selling point. If it’s not done within some basic plan, it has the potential to become “Everyman for himself” chucking up threes.

What were we back then? We played in the MAAC. I'll tell you what we were... We were a top 20 team who was were 30-2 beating every team that we played except for Lou and that was a close one. We won 100 games in 4 yrs and made the tournament 3 and was int the NIT chip my freshman yr.We won the Big 5 two yrs straight and had a 49-1 win streak in MAAC!! In thos four years, we beat nova 4 times, temple, st joes, Penn, rank teams Florida, florida st, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Ohio state, set a record against DePaul, and many other tournament wins and no conference games!! So check your history when you challenge the MAAC back then and who we played.
