I have been rooting hard for Butler ever since they beat Indiana. They are quickly climbing the polls and are at #14 in the AP now. That game should be a lof of fun.

I cannot wait for 2/16 at the Palestra when all of this shit gets put on the line and we'll find out who's better on the court, and it'll have nothing to do with Joe Lunardi.

The Joe's/La Salle rivalry seems more contentious this year. I like it.

SJU (PA) Hawks talking points:
1. Consistently and obsessively try to down play any rivalry with La Salle. 2. If forced to concede that said rivalry does exist …tell everyone that it ranks well below Holy War.

Is Lunardi running the Vegas lines too? How the heck is St. Joe's favored by 2.5 over Butler? I know they're the home team, but...

I feel like when I started at La Salle, SJU fans probably rightly felt that the rivalry had faded. But they haven't exactly dominated us in recent years. Not sure that Lunardi is actively anti-La Salle, but I think he, like the rest of the fan base, is in denial about the relative positions of the two programs. "They can't really be better than us, can they?"

I think it's more so, they can't actually better themselves can they?
As though we never put a good team together ever. We are the little brother growing up and being just as big as our older siblings all of a sudden and can't be pushed around anymore

That line is telling me something, and that is to bet the house on St Joe's. Unfortunately, they may win the game outright because it looks like a sucker's bet giving points to Butler. I'm going to predict that Butler gets into massive foul trouble and there's going to be a ridiculous free throw discrepancy in the Hawks favor.

What sucks for us is we want Butler to win that game because the odds if winning in PHL twice are pretty low, almost as low as losing here twice. Most likely going to split the two trips.
