I look forward to Lunardi listing this as a quality loss for them as he keeps them in the Last 4 Out all year

Maybe because it happened in the middle of the night, no one will notice.
That's even worse than when they got obliterated at Creighton 2 years ago.
In all seriousness, we don't want them to be that bad. We need as many good A10 teams as possible

Agree with luhoopsfan. I have this internal conflict of wanting them to lose every game like that, and wanting them to win so it looks good. I suppose I will at least enjoy this one. And I can't wait for the Hawk fans to start calling for Phil's job.

They are that bad and within a hair of being 0-3. It is going to be atough year for Bembry minus his old supporting cast. Seriously it will be very difficult for them to win 10-11 games for the season.

I do not think bembry is very good. Athletic, yes. But he has a jumper as reliable as Garlands and no refined skill set.

The other side to this is that gonzaga is the real deal this year. Winning 3 games by a total of 114 points in unbelievable. Especially when one of their opponents was ranked #22 nationally. That's the same SMU team that just beat Lamar by 49 points.

Let's not get too cocky here about St Joe's loss. We played two very mediocre teams and barely beat them. We have Virginia coming up in a week. We have to play better. If we play like we did in the first two games we may be looking at a 40 point loss as well.

Gonzaga is very good and yes as of now we will also get smoked by Virginia if are shooting is as bad as the first two games. Most likely enter game at 4-0 having played zero top 100 teams. Don't want to sound pessimistic but realistic in that I see a 15-20 point loss if we shoot below 35%. If we shoot really good 44-45% we may hang.

Of course Virginia is going to be a rough game. The are a top 10 team. If we keep it within 15 we will be fortunate. But hopefully we don't get completely embarrassed by 50 like SJU did last night. That said, Gonzaga is really, really, really good.

Your talking about Virginia already...One game at a time.
Quinn very well could be a top 100 rpi team or near that as they have been over the past 3/4 years.

I think we were talking about a team that could embarrass us by 50. I'm not saying we can't lose to St. Peter's or St. Francis (especially the way we've been playing), but there is no way we lose by 40 or 50. That's why I was talking about Virginia - a top 10 team that could blow our doors off.

I hope we do look much different - in a good way.

It's not A-10, but it's Big 5, and an upcoming opponent, so I'm making a ruling that it can go here: Nova only up 1 on Bucknell, 5 minutes left. That game's not part of a tournament either, it's at the Ski Lodge.

Bucknell is up 2, less than 2 minutes to go.

Nova's gonna win, but man they did more sweating than I'm sure they're comfortable with.

GW is 12 point underdog to Virginia. Should be a very interesting game.
