Jalon Miller has narrowed his list to La Salle, TCU, Baylor, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. So far he's planned official visits to TCU (this weekend) and La Salle (9/21). twitter.com/coreyevans_10

A really good forward for an quasi-spread offense. He has that mid range jumper that our bigs lack.

Man, that is a tough group to win this race from. The fact we are in the final 5 indicates G has been working some of his magic. Is it enough to overcome all the other roadblocks we face? Fingers crossed on this one.

I really want this kid for sure. I looked a little deeper of the list TCU and La Salle are the only two who have given him official offers. Baylor is loaded with PF they may not even offer. Tennessee seems they might be interested but they did land Tariq Owens who seemed to be under recruited and he also isn't at the front of the line for them. Also could say the same for Ole Miss.
Really only think this is between us and TCU. Come on G!

Not sure what to believe. A week ago, his final six was La Salle, TCU, Creighton, Boise St (all four have supposedly offered) along with Baylor and Tennessee who have apparently not offered yet. According to Verbal Commits, Baylor is out of scholarships
Now today, Creighton and Boise St are supposedly off the list and have been replaced by Ole Miss, who apparently has not offered yet.
Looks like La Salle has a legitimate shot. He would be La Salle's first recruit from Texas since Ralph Gilmore.

Fingers crossed on this one. Absolutely 88, we do have the magic ingredient for a high upside player.. Immediate playing time... In our spread offense, he would be a 4 but if for whatever reason that we would be going big he has the athleticism to play the 3.. I know I mentioned it yesterday but in a spread offense he would absolutely be lethal... He has the range 20+ feet which for someone 6'7 is great... Imagine a pick and roll with Price/Roberts/Shuler/Stukes... All Miller has to do is just sit on the pick for an open 3/mid range jumper and shoot over a 6'0-6'3 guard (if the guard was able to get over in time)... Absolutely lethal.. Think about how advantageous that is for a player of his skill set early in his career.. Doug McDermott (no, I am not comparing the two directly) early in his career scored a significant amount of his points in this situation from the perimeter as he continued to develop his post game... It is hard not to get excited by the potential marriage here.. Let's hope G can do it... It is really a player of Miller's skill set that we have been missing to have a true and complete spread offense... Heck in the Sweet Sixteen run, we didn't have a 4 in the spread of Miller's ability.. Peterson made the shots that was needed and hustled his butt off but Miller is just a different animal..

In addition (1) he finishes really well off ball (not just a shooter), (2) looks like he is effective with the left hand, (3) already has a college body and could develop into a pro body, and (4 would really benefit from immediate playing time and G's spread offense. Hopefully we can sign him off of the visit!
