I could make this line-up work.

add Jerrell Wright and that's a serious squad right there that would do some damage.
Love to see guys coming back year after year. I bet Duren could be a scratch golfer if he wanted, seems like the kind of kid that was good at anything he picked up.

Speaking of the golf outing...anyone there yesterday that could offer some news on anything related to the team? How Doc's attitude/outlook are for the season?
This time last year he was already talking about how team health and execution in close games would determine the team's fate, almost prophetically - my hunch is he knew some things about his team already.

I heard second hand that
(1)Amar is the point guard and
(2)Shuler could redhirt unless some of the returning guys who had supporting roles fail to effectively fill in the 8th player on the "playing" roster.
What I gather from that is we have Zack, Wright, Roberts, Price, Peterson, Stukes, and Lewis locked in. If Rohan or Davis can't be counted on for A10 level play, Shuler starts the year off at the 8th position.
IMO, that is the way to go. Count on your best 8 and have depth available but MOST IMPORTANTLY play that depth so they are ready to contribute at all times a la the Spurs. Also, use those 6 non-bigs to play high pressure D thatleads to easy transition hoops, something we saw little of last year.
Davis and Brown can provide big body depth if Steve and Jerrell get in PF trouble. Washington can do the same. So we can play 10, but realistically 8 getmost of the minutes.
I also think Shuler is capable or working his way up the ladder into a top 5 player spot by year end. Should be interesting.

We had issues with our guards last season and it would have been nice to have Amar there to help. Also, I think Rohan is capable he really didn't get too many opportunities when he should of last year. He played fantastic during that VCU game. I like to see him be called on more. Also you hear anything about this Ukraine player? I don't even want to try spelling his name because I will butcher it.

No word, but I did hear he probably has 3 years of eligibility so with a veteran frontcourt eating up most of the minutes the likelihood is that he would sit out a year.

Also you hear anything about this Ukraine player? Someone close to the program told me that he is a starter-level player on a good NCAA team and that if they could compare his game to anyone's, it would be Halil Kanecevic.

I'd be for playing him and Shuler as well. I have no problems going 10 deep. That's pretty much what Dayton did last year.
