Not to beat a dead horse, but an interesting article. www.philly.com/philly/sports/246637721.html Aaric Murray working to bring maturity level in line with talent level "Especially not him," Murray said of Giannini. "He took care of me. I don't know. I just had a little attitude problem, I guess. I was young or something, I don't know. At La Salle, it was like I was too high up on my own pedestal, letting people tell me, 'I should have gone here, I should have gone there. You're too good for La Salle.' I think I got lazy and satisfied, I guess, with just the hype."

Yeah, well, we'll see.....
"Glen Mills was good for me, it straightened me out," said Aaric Murray, 2009
"I guess he felt as though I was too hard-headed. And maybe I was at the time -- too hard-headed to listen to him," said Aaric Murray regarding La Salle coach John Giannini.
"Coach Huggins was great for me. At first, I thought that was the best decision I could have ever made," Murray says, looking back (at his West Virginia experience). "But then it just turned out different."
"But now that I'm there," his face lights up, Murray says. "I can see it. It's the best decision I could have ever made." (On being at Texas Southern)...December, 2013.

My two big takeaways are this is the first signs of maturity I can remember from Aaric and that was a much deserved apology to G.

Today I learned... There's schools out there that consider beating this year's Temple an upset.

It must be a very humbling experience to see your former school get two postseason appearances while you leave to get some for yourself, then get none out of it.

The thing is that Murray still, in his mind, believes he will be a lottery pick when in reality he has zero chance due to character issues including the drug arrest. The NBA teams do background checks before investing millions in a guy.

I'm also in his mind and he's pretty much hoping for late 1st or undrafted. Maybe other side of his brain?

Good for Aaric! People make mistakes when they're young. It looks and sounds like he's grown up a lot. And, more importantly, he realized he had to grow up in a major way.
I can't even imagine what life is like for a kid in his teenage years and 20s living in any sort of bubble like that. I know I wouldn't be able to handle that at his age.

I know I wouldn't be able to handle that at his age. keep in mind he is 24, so he's got a couple more years under his belt compared to his peers. guess I'm not sold on this interview.
