Jett pulling a Treveon Graham routine...barreling down the lane throwing his body into people and getting cheap foul calls left and right. I had the same thought.

Jett hits an absolute circus shot. Damn! Great play by him. No fault to the D.
Down 2 with about 55 seconds left.

Garland missed a 3 that was kind of forced, but not really outrageous to take. We got the loose ball, had to call our last TO.
41.2 to go. Down 2, fresh 35. NO TO's left. SLU has 2. We have the arrow,
They're shooting 2, we're still at 1 and 1.

Man, that one would have been nice. I don't think we "should have won" but damned, we'd be feeling good. This game is a whisker away from wins against VCU and SLU. Change nothing else, blowouts by GW, UMass, SBU, and we'd still be feeling great about this year with those 2 games.

We had no answer for Jett all day. And it was the same play almost every play of the second half. Is the way they set a pick legal? because it sure is dam effective!

A few of them looked like moving screens, but they weren't blatant and we get away with some too, so hard to complain about that. We just didn't close down the lane very well at all.

It looked like La Salle still had a time out left. They're not that good/organized/talented enough to get cute and try to catch a St. Louis in a defensive lapse to get a tying basket. That nonsense Garland (literally) threw up at the end is a joke.

That nonsense Garland (literally) threw up at the end is a joke. Your argument for why we lost is that we didn't have a better "three seconds left-desperation" play? If you want to have a rant, how about keeping Jett out of the lane even once in the second half without fouling?

Man, I hate to think like this, but our last 7 is against 2 of the worst teams in the A-10 and a whole lot of mediocre. If we can play at the level we did most of today, 5-2 should be possible. But I could also see them getting run off the floor by a Richmond or Dayton, so who knows.
The killer in this season isn't losing to #13 by 2, it just stings today because a win would have cured a lot of ills.

YOU SIMPLY CANNOT WIN IN DIV 1 COLLEGE BASKETBALL WITH ONE THREE POINT SHOT. Period, end of story!!!
Until Duren hit his near the end, La Salle had one 3-pointer. (Mills).
As far as I'm concerned, if Mills and DJ are supposed outside spot up shooters, they have some responsibility to do what is required to free themselves up. NEITHER DO.
DJ was worthless today and Mills was Mr. Invisible again.
Jerrell had a great game and proved what I've been bitching about all year about a screwed up rotation and lack of playing time when he can get 6-8 straight at any time of a game. Zack was great as well.
Great effort after the first five minutes. Why the slow start?
I HATED the defeatest look on G's face after the game. Because this and VCU actually prove we at least have s hot at winning the A-10 tournament if all get hot at the same time.

The Billikens only hit two threes all game too. Which is why you need to force them to take one on the final possession.

Ye, legal to me also and is likely so. The guy setting the pick looks for the defender and tries to and routinely bodies up. Maybe it is how well they time it. It is dam effective. our guards were pretty consistently picked out of the play. Jett was left with a pretty open lane virtually every time. Guess that is why they are a top 15 team Excellent Execution! They well executed the pick in that game more times than i have seen us do it in a season. Anyway We were there until the last seconds. Lost it on the last play. Not a game to be embarassed about! Time to start drinking!

Kind of feel like we should beat Richmond, with Lindsay out for the season and Williams apparently no longer with the team.
