I was working yesterday and unable to watch the game, but I'm pretty dismayed to see that we forced only 7 turnovers.
By my count, we forced 8 turnovers in the 1st 10 minutes of the Delaware game in jumping out to a 15-point lead.
Since then, in 70 minutes of game action, we've forced only 9 turnovers.
Obviously, it can't be expected that we force 8 turnovers every 10 minutes, but forcing 9 turnovers in 70 minutes is laughable. More than that should happen by accident.
A couple of random stats that look favorable for us, and correlate with winning, though: We're taking great care of the ball. We're allowing the 2nd-lowest proportion of 3-pt attempts in the country. We're allowing the 3rd-lowest proportion of assisted field goals in the nation, and we're not sending opponents to the line (which is particularly positive since we're also not having opponents heave up 3s)
Still, a loss to CCSU, even if I didn't see a second of it, is incredibly disappointing.
The good news is that we've got plenty of chances left to prove this was a fluke.
