I'm a little surprise by the line. Would've thought it would be a Pick Em, and my feeling is that GW is going to win by double digits. I hope I am wrong, but we really haven't done diddly against good teams to convince me otherwise. We really could use a win here, but I don't see it.

As noted previously, if you look at kenpom or real time we are a favorite by 1-3. Got to keep the faith. We know the talent is there.

Until team shows they can shoot better I can't see how we can get any closer than 7 or 8 points. Yes we have the talent but so far this season anytime we play a solid to good team (except Stonybrook) we lose. GW has played a number of solid to good teams and has played well so adding everything together it doesn't look good. If we somehow do win I would not be surprised if team runs off 5 or 6 wins in a row.

I think you get 3 points for home court so it basically is a pick em.

Hate to say it, but I'd be betting the house on GW. Feels like easy $

I agree… GW has been really impressive in the OOC.. Projected for a NCAA Tourney bid and rightfully so.. They always had the front court but the IU transfer has brought it all together…

This is more than a little surprising to me. Has the line moved at all?

The line is still LaSalle by 3. The next five games can all be won.

We were favorites against Butler last year who just beat Gonzaga. As good as GW is, they're nowhere near as good as Butler was last year. And while we haven't been playing as well, either, there are mitigating reasons for that and we might start getting it together.
The one thing I'm worried about is GW's length. Length has killed us all year. But if Duren can run the ship and the ball moves and the bigs do what they do, I can see why we're picked.

I think we match up OK height-wise. We have been getting killed by teams that run 3-4 6-5" to 6-7" athletes on the floor at once. I don't think GW has the same type of personnel. Not a sure thing, but we are clearly capable of a W. See the other thread for my reasons FWIW.

It makes no sense to me why we are favorites in this game but hopefully the line makers know what theyre doing.

The team surprised me. Especially after GW had a nice run at the half and tied it up. Good win. Although the next 4 games are very winnable games, we can very easily lose them if our focus isn't there. Duke's always play us tough on their home court. I don't like to look ahead, but being 10-6 going into the Temple game would be nice. I looked up some box scores in past years, and checked out the game against the Duke's in 2009. Lost 100-62! Is turning the ball over 28 times in 1 game even possible??

This is silly. Why on earth would you look at stats from a game in 2009?

Is turning the ball over 28 times in 1 game even possible?? You distorted the facts. There is no statistic that says Duquesne "always" plays us well at home in fact I am pretty certain G has a winning record in that arena. I was at that game, but I am trying to forget about it. The actual final score was 103-82 (almost as many points came off the Duquesne bench, 73, than our entire line-up). The 2012 game is a more recent memory of a Duquesne team that almost overcame everything to win or force overtime, but Tyreek stopped them with a block near the buzzer.
