It's just good to see that this season's struggles have not completely burried the memories of last season's epic run in anyone but a die hard fan.

That's a pretty outstanding article. G is the man. The guy is so thoughtful, so insightful. It's pretty amazing that he's never watched the game tapes of any of the 4 games.

Two of the best weeks of my life! I watched the selection show at Dan Rodden and cried a bit. It just got better and better each and every single day. It was destiny, with the 150th Anniversary. The entire city fell in love with a team representing a place that is largely responsible for making me the person I am today.
I will never like sports that much again until I have a kid who falls in love with a team like I've done.

You would think being named Daily News "Sportsperson of the Year", Rob Charry of WIP would be able to correctly name the La Salle Coach. Instead, in the "year in review" he refers to G as Dr. John Gianelli.
Always thought he was a tool.

This award is a tremendous achievement and couldn't have be any more timely if planned this way. Nice tribute written by Dick Jerardi Could not agree more. Despite their struggles so far this season, how can you not love this group of kids. I've followed this program for over 40 years and no La Salle team has made me prouder, both on and off the court. Here's hoping they get completely healthy, regain their confidence, and get their mojo back for the rest of the season.

Still can't believe I got to see that from about 10 feet from the basket.

Couldn't be prouder or happier. What we experienced through the Sweet 16 could have been once in a lifetime. I agree, what felt like a month was actually one of the best two weeks I'll ever remember.

Yes that was a great run but I believe G will have some good to very good teams in the future (next season has the talent for a pretty good team). I don't expect to make the Sweet 16 but I think we will be a regular visitor to the NIT and NCAA tournaments. As disappointed as we have been this season with a solid run we will be in the NIT with 17 wins.

Charry was only off by 40 years, cut the guy a break.

It bothers me when TV guys still don't pronounce his name correctly. I understand a guy on ESPN not knowing it and pronouncing it like its spelled, but a guy who's physically calling the game should know better. Worse yet, they're almost always referencing an earlier conversation they had with him.
"Earlier today, I spoke with Coach "Gee-UH-knee-knee".....maybe you should have asked him how to pronounce his name during that conversation.
