That's about what I figured (2 1/2). Very winnable game. Miami according to Kenpom is one of the slowest tempo teams in the country ( 61 possessions and La Salle is about 65) and one of the toughest defensive teams. Tells me that you can't waste opportunities with poor shooting and turnovers. Can't trail at the magic 5:00 mark because it might be a tough hole to crawl out from.
Should be a good one.

Simple shoot OK (43% or > from field) and we win, shoot (38% or < ) and we lose. Once again this is not a very good Miami team but we at this point are not very good so the slight advantage goes to Miami until we prove otherwise.

Smells like an upset line.

Over/under is 120. Shot clock on the blink?

Very winnable game against a very turnover prone team.

For me this game means just about everything for the remainder of the season. If we beat Miami and then Penn we go into conference play 8-5 and with some momentum against a tough GW team.
We go in 7-6 with no real good wins and it has a different feel for me.

Adapting to the pace is key. Each possession really counts.

Will post more when I put up the game thread, but this is the most important game of the season up to this point.

... but this is the most important game of the season up to this point. Why so? More important than Nova? Thoughts?

I think it was unrealistic to think we could beat Nova at the pavilion. I think i understand why neumann thinks it is the most important game so far. I have to agree this game honestly may make or break this season. IF we win today that puts us at 7-5. The important aspect is too play well. Gives our players a boast of confidence during the holiday. It will be a nice break for Duren to rest his foot and I have heard Khalid is near 100%.
Beat Penn were 8-5. I don't think were going to have much of a problem with them.
We play GW on the 9th, which is an interesting matchup for us. We can beat them if we play well and if we win were 9-5.
Next few games are @dukes, URI (both are looking like bottom tier A10 teams), now the games reset were 11-5 going into game day.
WE CAN BEAT TEMPLE. They aren't bad by any means just not very good but it will be interesting to see how they develop as the season progresses, they could upset a few teams at home. Beat Temple and were 12-5 with a favorable A10 schedule.
You never know. Keep the faith, praying for a win today.

I have a different view of important.
One game at a time.
The more I look at Miami stats the more they look a lot like us.
