Heading to the Hartford game with my father and brother Tuesday. Anyone ever been there? Gym looks almost exactly like the Marist gym here by me. Seats behind the basket, but not what I'd call an arena. Anything around there restaurant wise? Just wondering if anyone has any info.
Anyone else going?

I have been to a few games there. THe arena is pretty basic. Games are not well attended by Hartford Students. THere is a new ruby Tuesday restaurant a few blocks away at the corner of Cottage Grove Road.
I may attend and would like to connect with any LaSalle folks. Any suggestions on how that can be done? I live in the Hartford area.

If student turnout is low normally, it oughtta really be interesting the day Thanksgiving break starts.

I went a few years ago and it was a barn burner.
Yes, their arena looks like a train station or a barn.
Their fight song was completely plagiarized, so see if you recognize the lyrics "Fly Hawks Fly High."

See my previous post above. I plan to go to the game, and would like to sit with some other LaSalle fans. I note that newneumann64 may attend. Any suggestions for connecting LaSalle fans who attend?

If you go, let me know. I'll go if someone else from LaSalle is there. Not sure how we can send messages/emails via this board to accomplish this.
As for today, see my post under the CCSU game (the 2nd one down). I mentioned that the CCSU coach is one of the best. On the flip side, the LaSalle players may think they can beat teams like CCSU by just showing up.

team is soft, not well coached, galloway is a gunner and duren and mills have peaked far below expectations. "D" is lacking. Passion is missing. This team better win 8-10 in a row or we are looking at a 16-17 win season.
I still find it amusing looking at our coaching staff, G is brain surgeon and his staff would be lucky to be vet assiatants.
I am a big fan but the writing is on the wall - down turn.

Season over............ why go What a stupid post. I'm as pissed off as the next person, especially since I drove an hour and a half to watch the game in person, but the season is far from over.

But Galloway has always been a gunner, and not nearly as reckless one as Ruben had been. I'll definitely take the good with the bad. Remember his 10 for 11 night? As for Duren, he had 3 bad halves but he is a talented player and he is entitled to have them.

Remember they started out 2-3 last year with a bad loss to Robert Morris. Galloway took a couple ill-conceived deep threes but I would not say he was a gunner. He missed some shots he usually makes but he played hard. I'm not down on him or anyone else on the team for that matter. But I am concerned with Tyreek Duren. His shot has deserted him and if it keeps going on like this, his confidence could take a hit. Including the Carleton game, he is shooting 22.9% from the floor and 18.2% from three so far. I would never tell him to stop shooting, but during crunch time today, he took a couple shots that he probably should have looked to pass the ball instead seeing as how he couldn't hit the ocean.

Holy Crap...this team played as poorly as it has played in the last 365 dfays and CCSU simply could not miss. It's no excuse for a loss but it took both extreme performances for CCSU to beat our guys...it was tied with 2 minutes to go for crying out loud and our guys played awful. it happens all the time in basketball. I mean Miami lost at home to Florida Gulf Coast and a Div 2 St Leo's team, I think Syracuse lost at home to a D2 team the same year it went to the Final 4. As for Duren, I'm concerned about the shooting as well but not worried. Galloway had a rough 1st game but seemed to find the range yesterday. These guys could use a game against Hartford where they are able to get lots of stops and run-outs and make some baskets to get the confidence going again. I think that will happen and i think they pull off the win against Nova and then we can go from there. If this is the only loss before Garland joins the lineup it will be fine.

hoopsfan, Galloway played better than he did against Delaware, but I don't think we can call 6 for 17 finding the range. I do agree that as bad a loss as it was, it is just one game and no time to throw in the towel.
