Does he play next year or is he a redshirt?
We essentially know who our five guards are going to be for the next half-decade.
Now let's get the next Jerrell, Steve and DJ!

Going to be so many interesting story lines leading into next season, regardless of what happens this year. So many new faces.

Potential nickname for the next era: THE NATIONAL GUARD. Focus group testing that right now.

Going to be so many interesting story lines leading into next season, regardless of what happens this year. So many new faces. A lot of new faces - many of who are in the program this year practicing with the team - or at least on campus (in the case of Tony Washington), and a lot of talent. Look at the newcomers for next season - Jordan Price, Cleon Roberts, Amar Stukes, Tony Washington and now Johnnie Shuler. Really nice infusion of talent coming onto the court next season to help ease the losses of Duren, Mills, and Garland, and Dunn. Again, a great job by Coach Giannini and his staff.

Totally. I've become spoiled having the current gang here, holding down the fort as well as they have. Forgot what it's like to have the typical college turnover, and it caught up to me reading all those names next to each other.

On another note, I saw Paul Johnson tweeted congrats. It looks like he has a job with the NBA. Anyone know the details?

This is great news and know way I see Johnnie being red shirted. He probably gets a minimum of 10-12 minutes a game next season. Welcome aboard Mister Shuler

Truly truly a great day.. Johnnie, I know you saw my message! Thanks for listening and you will not regret it! There will a plethora of talent around and you will be in a very competitive environment!
This commitment will allow G to go after a big man either a HS Senior or as a transfer. Something tells me this is when Giannini pulls the transfer card but uses it on the front court. A high major athletic body that maybe got lost in the shuffle but is a rebounding, athletic and defensive force is really that all that is needed with the offensive firepower that the future years will need.

This makes sense to me. There is a very nice future nucleus in place to offer a quality big one way or the other.
