Looks like we're all going to need it for several reasons this year. Here is a series of tweets from Jeff Goodman, who is now working for ESPN, on some of the 'secret scrimmages' today -
- Fans also need to be prepared because these guys are going to go LONG. Most won't fit into the normal TV window.
- One scrimmage this morning had 61 fouls and 86 free throws, another had 54 fouls and 68 free throws.
- Hearing this over & over already from coaches following "secret scrimmages." Tons of fouls called. Expect a lot more ZONE defense this year.

Just to clarify, these are not La Salle's specifically, just in general right? Xavier's box score leaked from their first scrimmage, and it followed the same theme of sky high foul totals.

I am of the impression, after speaking to several folks with intimate knowledge of the program, that this new enforcement is going to be a good thing for us, especially when you consider the possibility that one of our chief rivals at the top of the conference could potentially be crippled by it.

I've heard the same as above, but I still have worries that the new hand check rules could cripple our bigs at key times with the amped up rules.

This could be a situation where it hurts everyone, but us less than most. In that case, I think it helps. I'm not necessarily in favor of the rule itself, but I think it could benefit us (or just hurt us less) in the long run.

I just don't want to see this trend where teams are losing their best players early in halves because of early fouls. Have to want games decided by the players not the depth of the roster and who can avoid foul trouble.
