Found two late recruits for next year. Both from the Juco route.
Freddy Andujar is a LHP from Holyoke (MA) CC. Started at Hartford U. NCAA has something called " 4-2-4 rule". So he's eligible immediately. Virginia Tech and Northeastern were in final 3.
Cameron Johnson 3B from Lackawanna (PA) College. Was 1st team NJCAA D-2 All-American. Had 15 HR and 71 RBI with .377 BA. Hails from Bowling Green, KY.

jb, what makes it easier to go the jc route for baseball recruits than basketball recruits? I am sure there is an explanation that will make sense to me once I hear it.

Academics are not always the case. I believe someone in Andujar's situation leaves a D-1 program and doesn't want to sit out a year (especially if they have pro aspirations... not saying that is Andujar's case). He leaves 4 year school. Plays at 2 year and is immediately eligible at 4 year school. Some kids go South to JC's because they know that a lot of D-1's and 2's have too much competition. Finally some fall through the cracks athletically and academically and go to a JC.
Lackawanna CC is an athletic powerhouse. Numerous kids go D-1 after spending sometime there. Especially football players. I know a family friend who has a son there and he's getting major college interest for football.
