Great start for spring sports. This is the best start by our lacrosse program since its inception. Hopefully they'll be dancing - or whatever it is that lacrosse players do - in May.

Is there a playoff system for Lacrosse in the A10? A National Championship Tournament? It would be nice to see La salle in them. I believe the women's soccer team, and the swimming and cross country teams (men and women?) have been doing well recently.

Women's soccer doing well = understatement of the year. They have won 24 of their last 25 games against conference opponents. The men's team has been in the top five of the A10 for the last few years as well, with one title appearance and a couple of semifinal finishes.
Yes, women's lacrosse will be eligible for an NCAA berth if they just manage to get past perennial favorite Massachusetts. The conference tournament is in May.

Not to thread hijack... Do the exiting A-10 schools have good presence in these sports? Just wondering if there becomes an easier path to conference titles for other sports.

Umass has owned several sports for several years IMO. I can't recall who their runner up might be overall but the "conference championships" tab on atlantic10.com shows charlotte in the running but a pretty wide disparity of champions, this fall season.

The ladies finished 2-5 in the A10 and missed the A10 tournament.
Men's baseball is sitting pretty at 11-4 in conference. Still have 3 games series with VCU, Bonnies and GW who are all looking up at us in the standings.

Since La salle will (probably) be in the top 2 (or 5) teams in the A10 regular conference games, would they have a chance for an at-large bid (given its poor overall record).

Only having 4 losses on the A10 schedule thus far, I suppose it would be somewhat possible to win 90% out and then lose in the A10 championship finals and be back in the discussion. Realistically I would think there is no chance. There are only 34 at large positions in baseball. They will most definitely be filled by teams with winning records in power conferences. The A10 championship is pretty much the only way in.

FYI: The La Salle men's track DMR ran 9:38 today at the Penn Relays, which I think should be a record.
Nick Crits - 255.9 Wayne Bartholomew - 49.x Nick Reilly - 150.2 Alfredo Santana - 402.1
They placed 6th I believe.

I believe the Men missed the school record by half a second but the Women broke the school DMR record by a half second. Congratulations to both teams.
