I'm digging the November World Cup. I'm on a heater betting this shit, and I'm loving it so much that I played in an indoor game last night at Total Turf. I grew up a football player, I haven't played indoor soccer since 97. And for good reason...I suck. But I'm all in on the World Cup.
Hopefully, Uruguay is shut out tomorrow and I can win the 700 that it would pay it should they be the lowest scoring team of the tournament.

Fun fact - The US has a player in the Starting 11 who played at McCarthy Stadium. Tim Ream played his collegiate ball at St. Louis and came to La Salle (and won 3-2) in 2008.

I still won't trust our CBs any time soon, but I was exceptionally wrong about Ream coming into this tournament.

If we actually carry a lead in the 2nd half against Netherlands and Greggggggg turns to the MLS all-stars and goes into a shell again, you'll hear me screaming from where I am to wherever you are. Hoping the aggression versus England is the template and the 2nd half defensive approach was because he thought Wales and Iran couldn't score against us.

Mr. D, at +353, I have to throw 100 on us, No? Is Holland that good?

That's a tough bet to take. The Netherlands hasn't looked great, but they have scored 5 goals versus our 2. They are also coming into the match with an 18-game unbeaten streak. Ecuador pressed them hard and had them on their heels to earn the 1-1 draw, and maybe the US can follow suit, but it depends on how healthy Pulisic and Sargent are to wear them down.
You might want some over/under and prop bets. Something tells me this game goes to PKs

I do think we have a chance in this one, and not at the "we have to play perfect" level it would have taken to beat England. But I agree(??) with Glitter that I'd bet the advance line before I bet the US to win outright in 90:00. Until I see Gregg push to win versus hang on for dear life, I'll be skeptical.

Except G didn't pull the starters for a bunch of gritty walk-ons without recourse to switch back.

Tough one today. The US outplayed the Dutch but just couldn't finish and the defensive mistakes cost them. The nucleus of this team will be back for 2026 and stronger and more experienced for a nice run on our home soil. Lots of positives to take from this WC for the US.

Really hoping it’s with a new coach and sooner than later. Brought like 4 strikers, left arguably the best one at home and then down 2-0 runs a lineup without any strikers at all. Which granted was the best choice but that’s because the construction was poor. And you never really like to hear this:

That said, we lost right where this program should have lost at this stage Berhalter or not. I just don’t believe he’s the right one to take the next step for when this loss is a bit more unexpected or painful?
