Nice win. Playing better lately. Does anyone know the status of Clark? Pretty sure he was in street clothes tonight, so that's not good

oddity from this game, 2 of the purportedly best scorers in the league - Pipkins and Pookie - combined to shoot 3-of-16 from the field and 2-of-12 from 3point range. They did combine to go 10-for-10 from the line. Umass with 13 more offensive rebounds and 18 more shots overall. We got crushed 24-11 on the offensive glass, Holloway had 11 offensive boards by himself

Ed Croswell is having a hell of a game. 8 points, 11 rebounds and most importantly 4 block shots Just got back from the game and Croswell was very impressive tonight. He handled the bigs well underneath and made several key defensive plays. Not playing like a freshman big at all. Looking forward to his continued development..I thought he was one of our brightest stars tonight against two bigger guys from UMass. Other observations: - Most unbelievable stat of the night - there were 94 rebounds in this game. UMass had 51 rebounds and 51 points. - UMass sucks at shooting - Their coach managed the clock at the end of the game worse than Andy Reid. He should've started fouling with about 1:20 left and had fouls to give, but instead let us take almost 30 seconds off the clock in a possession.

Good win. Glad we put together a full game. Beating a conference opponent twice is never easy.
Worst part about the game... Watching it. I can't think of who it is, and I don't mean to make a personal attack, but whoever does the commentary alongside Kale is absolutely unbearable. I've watched or listened to almost every game except the few I was in town for. I've listened to high school announcers. D1, D2, D3, women's bball. He is far and away the worst. Not only the bias (often times blatantly out of line and false) but the "contributions" are painful. Kale does a great job, but sometimes I have to turn the volume off because it's so bad, inaccurate, and annoying.
But we beat Umass. love that.

I know it's not news to anyone here that La Salle sends teams to the line more than just about any team in the country, but running down the numbers, it looks like you guys are 5-1 when committing less than 20 fouls and winless when committing 20 or more.

My three stars of the game
3) Beatty. Solid night. Hit some clutch shots when we were in an offensive dry spell and that was meaningful. Did not notice any mistakes
2) Croswell. Agree with previous posts
1) Saul. Hit 3s to build an early lead. Did a great job denying Pipkins the ball
Glitter is right on with UMass coach game management late
One ref tonight was absolutely brutal
Need to find answers for why we shoot so poorly in the second half. If we can fix that the team could do some damage.
Reverse the late GW meltdown at home and we’d be 4-3

Ed and JK combined stats
12 pts 16 rebs 7 blocks 42 min
Coming along nicely
I think Ed deserves 24 minutes a game, JK 18-22.

Need to find answers for why we shoot so poorly in the second half. If we can fix that the team could do some damage. Other thing we need to fix is senseless turnovers. At least twice last night when receiving a pass, Pookie had a foot out of bounds...instant turnover.

3-4 in A10. 1.5 games ahead of the Joeys. Won more than we’ve lost over our last nine. Right direction. Yes, first home win for Ash. 2 wins in December, 3 in January. Can we get 4 or more in February?

At least twice last night when receiving a pass, Pookie had a foot out of bounds...instant turnover. I said the same thing during the game. If he can cut that out, Shaggy can cut out the foot shuffle before setting up for a three and Traci and Mikes can learn to Dribble out of the lane when in trouble instead of picking up the dribble, we’d be down to about 7 turnovers a game. Saul will have tos but his d will more than compensate. Traci generally and Beatty do a good job with the rock. If we clean up the things noted above we can win even if we continue to shoot poorly in the second half

Not to beat a dead horse (but that's what we do in Explorer Town), but we need a Steady Eddie like Amar handling the ball. Last year he had 49 turnovers in 32 games, averaging over 35 minutes per game. Carter and Deas already have 40 in just 19 games averaging 10 fewer minutes per game, and Pookie has 48 in the 16 games he's played.

Was that Christian Ray about 10 rows behind our bench?
Ed was fantastic last night.
The Attic had to be the warmest place in the city last night, I was sweating.

Pretty sure he was in street clothes tonight, so that's not good shut him down, maybe he can get his year back. Clark is played in 9 games this year. I believe anything over 20% or 6 games this year nullifies his red shirt ability.

Why would anyone want the guy who led the team in steals and assists for two years, is 12th all-time in assists, 2nd all-time in single-season FT%, and protected the ball well as their PG?

Because the team lost a lot. As the team also did when Townes and Butler played for the Explorers. If you are holding up team win-loss record as a measure of an individual player, then by your argument, those players fall in the same category. At least Stukes was on the squad for a winning season and a 500 season. Neither Townes nor Butler were.

Yeah, you can add bonus points for team success but demeriting the individual for overall record is insane.
