This election is making me ill. Watched an hour of debate last night and it was very disturbing.
These candidates are mostly embarrasing buffoons and because of the stupid electorate it seems to be working for them.

This election is making me ill. Watched an hour of debate last night and it was very disturbing. These candidates are mostly embarrasing buffoons and because of the stupid electorate it seems to be working for them. As a liberal it makes me happy watching the Republican party self-destruct. They're getting exactly what they asked for with all the tea party nonsense from years ago. "Rejection of the Establishment" as a platform will yield someone like Trump, a fantastic marketer, to take advantage of a group of people who don't understand that they are voting against their self-interest. This is why Bernie Sanders makes sense this year to me. Either one of the democrats should wipe the floor with Trump, especially if a third party GOP nominee arises from the ashes to "save the party" from embarrassment. Might as well go all out with revolution.

We have a socialist in Bern, a lying criminal in Hillary, and a ball of hot air in Trump...this country is in trouble.
Cruz is a damn Canuck (no disrespect to Madame Pres), and Rubio is going to lose if he's going to try and play Trump's game.
My prediction...If it is Sanders vs. Trump, than America is going to Feel the Burn...However, if it is Trump vs. Hillary, than DJT will win.
It's really a down time in American politics.

Here's the thing about Trump, he's not even really conservative.
I don't know, I'm surprised this country elected Obama to a 2nd term. My man was a charismatic orator, and he struck a cord with our demographic Joe, and ran on a platform of Change, Change, Change...it all sounded good, but it meant jack shit once he was elected.
He was hell bent on pulling out of Iraq without winning the war first. He pulled out, left a power vacuum, and now it is a mess with ISIS. You need to win the war before you rebuild a country. Obama never did that.
He did bring about the Affordable Care Act, but even that has been a mess.
I like Bernie Sanders, I like is ideas. I think he'd bankrupt the country, but I do like the ideas. Here's the thing about Socialism, it sounds good on paper, but it isn't practical.

How about the countries that run very well under a Democratic Socialist model? You can say they're not fair comparisons to the US. but to say it's totally unpractical isn't accurate.

And "Socialism" implies that the government would become the sole producer of various industries, no? The only one that is going to happen to is Healthcare, which could probably use it.

Like I said, I like Bernie's ideas...but I don't see it happening in America. I know that their are small European countries, and their systems work fine for them, but as you said, it isn't a fair comparison to the US.

Sanders - free college tuition? I don't think that would be in the best interest of small private Catholic colleges...

Who knew that GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz was so bright, accomplished and respected ? It would certainly seem that Cruz's presidential campaign has done an extremely poor job of getting the word out about his resume, prior experience and qualifications to be President. His public image, persona and reputation to date is that he's " that wacky Senator from Texas ". Rather than running against Donald Trump, he should be running instead on his own platform, ideas and superior credentials. Ted Cruz is almost universally disliked in the halls of Congress. He is an elitist, as evidenced by the story about him not wanting to associate or study with fellow law students who went to "lesser ivies" such as Penn. This guy is nasty.

He's Canadian...You can be President of La Salle as a Canadian, but not President of the United States. I'm not even sure how the guy is a US Senator. I liked Dr. Ben Carson, but he's dropped like a stone.

The problem I have with these ultra Religious guys like Cruz is that I feel like they make absolutely no effort to explain why a non-Christian should vote for them.

The problem I have with these ultra Religious guys like Cruz is that I feel like they make absolutely no effort to explain why a non-Christian should vote for them. And Cruz was an asshole towards the Pope...it was embarrassing that they would treat a head of State, and the leader of the largest Christian denomination in the Catholic Church. Catholics and Protestants can have disagreements, as they've been having them since Medieval Times with Henry VIII, however, Cruz and other conservative leaders were pure embarrassment. I make no bones about it, I'm more conservative than I am liberal. However, Cruz and the rest of those zealots are embarrassing. When atheists have more respect for Pope Francis than people like Ted Cruz, who's supposed to be on the "same team" as the Pope, than we have problems. It's part of the struggle I have with Trump. I struggle with the leader of the US clashing with the Pope. I'm not voting for Hillary, I just can't get over Benghazi. So it is either Sanders or I sit this one out...

I think Mr. Comey's upcoming report will remove the "Democrat darling" from the campaign as only one candidate has many FBI agents criminally investigating them. And old Bern appeals mostly to those who think he will magically supply minimum $15 per hour jobs whilst also providing free college education after 25 meaningless years in congress! Rubio is a little wet behind the ears when it comes to debating. Cruz is a bit wacky. Trump isn't afraid to speak his mind but still has some uniting work to do. This is kind of like the NCAA tournament... no one knows who is going to win.

So in that analogy, Trump would be ... Ole Miss?
(Because he's racist and Mississippi seems pretty racist.)

And Hillary would be one of the SEC outlaw schools? And Bernie Vermont U? And Rubio Florida Gulf Coast? And Cruz Univ of Maine?
Trump would prolly be Kansas right now.

Neither is Trump... he employs more minorities than all the other candidates combined.
He is #1 like Kansas is right now. Many Dems have registered independent or Republican as he appeals to them as well as many in the GOP.

Not sure what you mean. That was a fair analysis of all the candidates. You can agree to disagree. I didn't say I am glad the Democrat party is self-destructing or anything like that.
