Hopefully it's not the Sixers/Steve Smith situation 2.0. Hoping for better outcome for Jerrell

I seem to recall K'Zell Wesson and/or Terquin Mott being in camp or playing for Sixers in summer leagues, but never really having a serious shot at the roster. Same with Vernon Goodridge (he might have been with a different franchise, entirely, though). I'd have to imagine Donnie Carr was brought in for a tryout, as well. Smith actually played a handful with the 76ers, and as I recall made his debut in an ESPN game being called by Legler, which was kind of neat: www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/smithst03.html

Google says V-Good was in camp with Golden State and the 5th overall D-League pick. I always forget about how much I liked him.

Google says V-Good was in camp with Golden State and the 5th overall D-League pick. I always forget about how much I liked him. He was a true presence, defensively. Too bad the NCAA screwed him and the refs often chased him off the floor (partially his own fault, but largely just brutal officiating). 2009-10 could have been a truly special season if he was eligible, along with Murray, and the injury bug hadn't bit so hard. Certainly one of the most disappointing seasons in program history.

Nothing with Murray was going to be a success.

Second workout for JW. Even if the Sixers don't take him at 60 or so it helps him get a getter gig in Europe. I am really happy for him.
Jake Pavorsky @jakepavorsky · 2h2 hours ago La Salle power forward Jerrell Wright is working out for the Sixers today, per a league source. His second workout with the team.
