Shuler checking in. Don't think we'll see URI putting no defenders within 10 feet of him. Hopefully spacing improves and Wright has more room

We just need to feed Jerrell on every possession until they start doubling him. They are doubling on every possession. And no one is moving... They are leaving Stukes wide open for a perimeter and he won't even consider taking it even though the defense is giving it to him. Instead of taking the shot he dribbles back to defensive pressure only to get his shot blocked. If he does that (and he has been for months) he can't be on the court. This is just upsetting to watch. Bad basketball and even worse execution.

We just had a possession where every player on the team tried to 1 on 1 dribble past their defender and failed. Then with just seconds left tried to drive and put up an airball then didn't get back on defense and they got an easy layup. Disgusting Lewis blew the cover on hedge.. For this athleticism, he does not play the right angle..

Exactly, they are daring our guards to shoot a 3 and no one on the court is taking them. Then on the other side we are getting absolutely OWNED inside by Rhode Island.

Im done watching. I really feel bad for these kids. Especially Wright. They are just not properly coached. Our coaching is clueless. No offensive movement, no screens, no isolation pick and rolls, no teaching the players the importance of head fakes. Just slow one dimensional bball.
Its so ugly and really has taken the love I have out of college basketball.

We can't even hit our Free Throws to break this run. I'm sorry watching Price he shouldn't even be on the court he looks big time hobbled. Let Shuler play his minutes and see what happens.
Jerrell just picked up his 2nd foul and Roberts dared to take a 3 and it was closer to Germantown Hospital than the net.

Listen to how shocked the announcer is on how bad we execute. He can't believe that we don't move the ball or pass the ball or set things up.

It's very hard to run offense these days without shooting threats to stretch out the D. By my count, we have exactly one lineup that can put 3 guys with a perimeter shot that must be respected on the floor.

Shuler breaking ankles and gets blocked but that play right there was more exciting than any offense we've had in the last 3 games.

The way they lost to Fordham must have been so demoralizing. They are playing uninspired today. Roberts shooting has gone ice cold. They just look lost out there. No confidence. I'm glad to see Shuler getting some minutes but even that is about 10 games too late.

This is men amongst boys right now. Rhode Island getting to every loose ball and quicker up and down the court.
As I type that Shuler nails a 3 from the scorers table!

Dear Dr. John and coaching stafff:
We implore you to stop wasting our collective time, resources and precious dollars. Your collective understanding of college basketball is incredibly incompetent. If you want to resign today after the game to avoid further embarrassment and disgrace we will accept it without hesitation. We need to move in a different direction. Thank you for your past efforts and for the Sweet 16 run that a couple of gifted players brought to us. Best wishes for future success.
Sincerely: Many La Salle alums, supporters and students

Leave Schuler out there. The only way we can turn his flashes into consistent good play is by letting him play some minutes.

Rhode Island 36 La Salle 24 La Salle Turnovers 10
0:23 to go 1st half
Shuler just basically airballed a 3 after missing both free throws on a prior possession but I agree the only way he gets used to these situations and works through this stuff is to play.

Do we not practice Foul shooting? ? No one should be allowed to leave practice until they make 10 in a row each and every practice this is ridiculous!!

1st half in a nutshell:
We're 5-10 on FT, 1-8 3-pt FG, Rhode Island leads 11-2 in assists and we have 10 turnovers

Rhode Island is so much more physical than us. All their players are so much thicker than ours and we can't stay in front to limit their ability to get to the hoop. Once Wright went out we had no ability to score.

For a team that is all about defense as we do not score a lot our defense has been bad. They are shooting almost 52%.
Combine that with 10 TOs vs their 6 and there is the game.
