Fourth option is to throw $25MM per year at Coach K to get him to come to La Salle. I know that sounds like a lot of money but if you consider it an investment into the future of the university its really not that bad. And Coach K went to West Point which is obviously much closer to Philadelphia than Durham is and given that we have a long tradition and everyone wants to be a part of the Big 5 I think it makes total sense to ... That's not a bad idea but I think we'd be better off if we did this: Tim Legler, Head coach Fran D., Asst HC/Lead Recruiter Doug Overton, bench coach Lionel Simmons, bench coach Legler is the ideal guy. He's a LaSalle guy and knows the area and would fight for his Alma mater Coach K would be awesome at grooming Legler and who could say no to Coach K, but since he s not a LaSalle guy I don't think he'd be ideal. We could definitely find a better fit Overton/Simmons are LaSalle guys and would love the opportunity to coach at LaSalle! Since these guys don't have significant experience as coaches (or at all for some) they'll be cheap.

Man, pair that up with my stadium design and we're getting major conference invites left and right.

You're all overthinking this. Throw $10 million at Joe Bryant and see if he'll take the job. I've heard he has a pretty talented son who hasn't used any of his years of NCAA eligibility yet, maybe he can convince him to come play. I don't know if he would start, but maybe he could come off the bench to spell Roberts now and then.

If he's only going to want to start then he'll probably transfer after 1 semester.

Yeah, I saw a 20 second youtube clip shot from the stands and he's not Atlantic 10 caliber. He'd be best going to the MAC and getting 30 minutes per night there.

I read Jasper Van Teesling is looking to get into coaching. Olaf Landgren, Brian Flickenger and Speedy Morris would make fantastic assistants. Maybe one can pull double duty as university president.
