Told by one of his staff that Jim Kenney's mayoral tv ads feature La Salle, as he is a grad., will keep eye on his spots.

It will be real interesting to see if Jim wins how he is able to balance all the favors he'll owe to the teachers union, carpenters, etc. vs. the fiscal responsibilities of being mayor.
It's a lot easier to promise things when it doesn't count.

A bunch we can be proud of?
Stack's handpicked candidate to replace Brendan Boyle (D) LOST to a Republican in a district that is 2 to 1 Democratic. " I will never forget Stack on WCAU being interviewed about the City of Philadelphia Schools. He said "we( Wolf and himself)won't really know what's going on there until we get into office". Really? They (PSD) come to Harrisburg every other day asking for more money. Yet Harrisburg doesn't know what's really going on in the PSD?

Bookstore should send him a bag of hats if he wins. Sick of Nutter wearing Penn caps during snow emergency press conferences.

Not sure it falls completely under the topic of Politico's but couldn't help but be impressed that La Salle Alum William Burns is a Bilderberger now. Maybe over drinks, he can get Henry Kravitz to pony up a few hundred million for a new Arena and the Endowment. www.infowars.com/bilderberg-2015-full-attendee-list-agenda/

Balchunis wins primary. Uphill battle with Meehan in the fall.
Barring unforeseen developments in the general, La Salle will have an alumnus as a Congressman in Dwight Evans.
McGinty wins Senate primary. Regardless of party, I never vote for SJU (of Penna.) alumni in any political contests.

Glad Fattah is no longer my representative. That guy is the worst. However, Dwight Evans is only a little bit better. I have an over/under pool with my friends predicting when his indictment awaits.
Also, Balchunis is a really terrible professor by all accounts. Her classes essentially equate to Democratic Party Brainwashing Sessions. (And not to get into party allegiance, but bullying your students into agreeing with your own views is not a good thing.)
I never had her, but I've only heard really bad things from students and faculty. She was also involved in litigation in the 90s regarding her tenure. From memory, the poli sci department didn't want to give her tenure because of how woeful she was. She pitched a fit and whoever was president at the time did some sort of executive action that granted her tenure without her having to deal with the process. This prompted the poli sci department chair to sue the school. I am hazy on the details but obviously she's still at La Salle and is one of the more loathed people on campus.

I was happy to have given him my vote yesterday.

If so, how'd you do in that crowd? He was at the Temple rally trolling outside. Seemed like a pleasant guy who looks like someone I'd hang out with. His wife also was very normal looking. He was definitely doing that "smile a little too loud/laugh a little too hard" politicians do when kissing babies but they really weren't polished in a very good way.
