He did a great job, looked very comfortable in the role although it was tough getting a word in edge-wise with that crew. Did a segment toward the middle called something like "ask the coach" where fans could send a question via social media and the question was about Price and Roberts and how next year's team would be. Doc said that with the team losing so much experience at guard that they were looking to bring in guards who where not brand new to college and being on campus. He said that they are high level transfers who had starting experience in their respective programs. Also mentioned Stukes and Shuler and said that they have a chance to be much better than many people think next year.

It looked like G wanted to walk off the set when Pete Gillen and Jon Rothstein were going after each other. The moderator should have cut them off and went to a different subject.

Had to smile when CBS Sports basketball commentator Alaa Abdelnaby mentioned ( twice ) on the air that G had also formerly been coach at Penn, and G , not wanting to embarrass him, let it slide without correcting him.

G did a terrific job commenting on the teams still in the tournament. He knew the names and strengths of many players and provided nice insight into strategy. Talked about playing Baylor and how deceptive it's defense was because of length and quickness. Said defense is so quick that it's not possible to duplicate in practices. Also talked about San Diego State's 3-1-1 defense and how difficult it is to shoot against. Thought Steve Fisher's team has then best defense in the tournament. I'm a novice at breaking down a game strategy but G was outstanding IMO. As has been written many times, La Salle could not possibly have a finer representative for the U.
