The thing about Stukes is he was not the point guard at La Salle High. I am told he played more of the role on his AAU team. I saw Stukes play 4 times his senior year at LCHS and twice the previous summer for his AAU team, and he played primarily the point in all six games. He rarely played off the ball. I saw him twice and he played mostly off the point but a lot like Duren this year.

Starting five: Wright, Zack, Price Roberts and Schuler with Stukes, Washington, Peterson, Lewis and Brown as next five. This looks promising on paper, but after getting beat by teams for different reasons this year, I am sensitive to positional gaps. Next year's guards look better and more balanced than this year's squad because we have more shooters and more length. However, we still lack a true 3, someone who is fast, can defend, have some form of jumper and can leap. Someone who can play like Roberts (who G almost landed) or a guy like Allen (from UR), Pierre or Oliver (from UD), Evans from SLU, Graham from VCU, Esho/Carter from UMass, Soko/McKoy from the Dukes. There are a ton of players like this in the A10 and most of the La Salle greats of all time have fit his bill, but besides Steve Smith (who G inherited), G has not been able to land such a player. Can't this be remedied? Is there a 5th year senior and/or transfer we could land that could take care of this gap. This seems especially important with Jerrell (and to a lesser extent Steve) graduating next year. Two athletic 3s can make up for such an expected loss and really round out a nice roster. The question is -- is this being looked at and pursued as a critical need?

I think Price at 6-5 and 230Lbs could fill this role depending on defensive ability. From what I understand, he can put it on the deck a bit and can definitely shoot from the outside. I defer to someone like Explorerman to provide better insight into his game.

Schuler has everything in a point that you want (speed, can shoot the three, can run the team, plus a great foul shooter). ...except above-average height / length.

Agreed of the 4 games I saw, he was the PG. Also, in the all star games
