Antoine Mason 6-3 Niagara will graduate soon and has one more year of eligibility. Averaged 25.6 pts on a depleted 7-26 team. Son of former Knick Anthony Mason. Dad has been quoted as saying several schools have contacted him about having his son transfer to their school.

I wonder if Mihalich at Hofstra is in the mix. He's got 2 Niagara players that sat out this season joining the team next year.

Adding a graduate transfer would really ease the transition during the early parts of next season. Exception being DJ, Jerrell, and Steve, we've got a very inexperienced squad. Intriguing idea.

Khalid's minutes unless he really steps up his game.

Khalid's minutes unless he really steps up his game. Kinda my thought also, although I admit almost all of this is a pipe dream. I'm a big fan of Khalid, think he brings a lot of intensity especially on defense. I'm hoping the departures might open the court for Khalid to expand offensively, though I'm not counting on it.

He looks pretty limited on offense right now.

Khalid is very frustrating offensively! I hope I'm missing something.

For a good time, he seemed to be the only one excited to shoot the ball. But I have a hard time justifying a chunk of minutes from someone who will only be an asset on defense. Not ready to give up yet, there were flashes of what I want.

The problem with Khalid is that if he doesn't significantly step up his game next year, him and DJ are basically the same player. Both above average defenders and one has the ability to drive and the other knock down an occasional 3.
Think i have more confidence in Khalid finding his shot and i hope I'm right.

We should not turn down a chance to bring in a proven scorer. Z and JW deserve that. The minutes will go the guys who earn them. That's the way it should be.

I would expect Giannini to get involved with high level big men.. Naturally, the types to transfer of this mold are players that are very athletic, defense is ahead of offense... and to honest I would not mind it... We have seen our front court struggle greatly.. Long, athletic players give both Zack and Wright a lot of problems...

Actually Garland's minutes have been reduced due to his season-long shooting slump. I thought he'd be getting 35 minutes per game but his production hasn't justified it. That has been my number 1 disappointment this season. At least Mills appears to have awakened in the past month.

Good luck to the coach of Mason's kid's 1st choice if the school isn't interested.

Look at Mason's numbers. The kid's FG% is fairly low. He can't shoot from deep and his assist-to-turnover ratio is in the negative. He gets his points by getting to the FT line. We already have a bunch of guards coming in. I'd rather just run with those horses than a kid who puts his head down every time he gets the ball.

I don't think jellybean posted about Mason because he thought La Salle might get involved. IMO, speculation that there is interest is pointless. I can't see him being on La Salle's radar.
Someone posted about a possible big man transfer. I'll be surprised if "G" doesn't bring one in.

I'm not saying Mason is necessarily the answer, I'm sure someone else will hit the market that'd be a better fit. But as it was already said, I'm also torn between standing pat and gambling with the transfer market (which has been our friend).

Maybe a certain someone at a certain state university in a certain Connecticut wants to get guaranteed PT? Ha yeah when I watched that certain school on TV I was looking for him... That would be a pleasant and fairly nice suprise considering La Salle isn't as cute to transfers as it was last year... I have to believe a transfer like Price would not have happened without the Sweet Sixteen run considering his status as an elite recruit... As I discussed in Septemeber when I started hearing about the "sitting out" players relative one sidedness over the returns it was hard to be excited for next season... Even though I wanted to be respectful to the seniors

Even though I wanted to be respectful to the seniors I think that was a telltale sign that teams with height/wings were going to be a problem all year. We got some big guards coming in.

I'd like any update on Tony Washington. Because I think he might well be one of the biggest keys to next season.

I know he is not allowed to have formal practices with the team right now. I don't know when he will be. Maybe someone can shed some light on this? Is he allowed to practice after the conclusion of the season in those individual instruction sessions? Does he have to wait til end of semester? Summer Semester? September?
Heard he is very nice and polite young man off the court but like the rest of the team is quiet.
