I was always on favor of playing in the CBI in the past, before the last 2 years. Just play more basketball. But things have changed now. I guess I'd say still play in it, but it really would be essentially meaningless.
We'd probably still have to win a handful more games for that. The CBI usually featured at least 1 A10 team though.
The other one, the CIT, is exclusively for smaller conferences. I don't think an A10 team has ever played in it.

The CBI for the seniors would be almost meaningless. But, if we won it, any win is good, and might give some life to those who return. But, I am not worrying about it because we are going to win the A-10 in Brooklyn.I always believe in my team. Even if Screamer,Esquire has a hopeless case, he walks into Court expecting to win. If u expect to lose, in a Courtroom or on a BB court, I can tell u what is going to happen-YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE! Thus, heads high, expect to win. Lets Go Explorers!

I admire Screamer, though I'm not sure if he should be committed or become a motivational speaker.

I think if we win the next 3 games and one in the tournement we get into the NIT.
17-14 with an 8-8 finish in the A10 probably would give us a 6 or 5 seed with an RPI in the high 70's.
NIT championship anyone....lol

Reminds me of the old saying among trial lawyers : " If the law is in your favor, pound the law. If the facts are in your favor, pound the facts. If neither the law nor the facts are in your favor, just keep pounding away ".

Am I the only one around here that isn't a lawyer?

Am I the only one around here that isn't a lawyer? I'm not, but I'm argumentative, and a lot of people hate me, so I'm halfway there.

personally I think the St Joe's game to close the regular season will be very telling. if we lose, I would be a lot less curious about our chances in Brooklyn. many disappointing efforts on the road this year.. have to hope we can beat Fordham and Mason to have momentum before trying to beat the Hawks at their place on senior day.
anyone remember the couple of years in a row where we'd go to UMass and get shellacked on their senior day by like 40 points?

that'll do it folks: Dayton defeats UMass, improves to 8-6 in A-10with a win Thursday against George Mason, we will lock in a date with St. Bonaventure in Brooklyn - Thursday, March 13 - noon winner likely gets St. Louis on Friday, March 14 - noon. while Dayton stays on the bubble, Richmond looks primed to fall completely off - URI 31-15 at the half.

Just wondering. In the wildly improbable chance of La Salle winning the A10 tournament (this year) how would they be ceded? Hey, it seems like every year some unlikely team comes out of nowhere to win their tournament. And maybe Ukraine will copy 1919 Poland and defeat an invading Russian army. (That would make happy Professor Rudnitsky(sp.?) and some of my Ukrainian classmates at la Salle way back when happy).

Well we beat Fordham. Thank God for last second, second chances! It was a thrill to win this game. But the quality of our play was very disappointing. If we play any of the remaining games with the same poor execution I do not believe we win another game. If we play like we did yesterday against St. Joseph's look for another embarrassing smack down! Needless to say this team has been such a disappointment. You can sympathize with the team when the shots don't fall and they played their game. But the sloppiness that is so characteristic now of this veteran team reflects poorly on them and certainly the coaches.
