La Salle is 8-2 since leaving the Paradise Jam. We all know the struggles the team had with Lewis and Duren's injuries along with shooting slump and defense. I thought it would be interesting to see the comparison of the two time periods.
First 7 games. La Salle 72.0 .404/.302/.712 TR 36.9 Opponents 73.4 .437/.390/.754 TR 38.1

Maybe you stay junkies can find the adjusted offense efficiency for both stretches, in addition to the possessions per game for the same period too? Got me curious.

Beyond my pay grade but I agree it would be interesting.
I thought it was awesome that the defense allowed almost 10 less points a game.

I wonder what things account for this? Guys getting healthier a likely factor. Also Coach G's teams seems to get better an play better as the seasons progress. I am wondering whether this has to do to some degree with some changes the Coach makes with substitution patterns and approach to how he uses his personnel. Maybe it becomes less willy nilly and more based on responding to specific game situations and match ups. Perhaps early in the season everyone gets their time to show what they can do? And at some point this changes. But I am not sure.

Per KenPom.com:
Adjusted offensive efficiency is 113.1 in conference play (best in A-10) and is just 108.3 overall. Tempo is roughly equal in both. Biggest difference is better shooting (from 2, from 3 and more attempts from the line).
Defense has also been significantly better in conference play (starting to limit 3s again).

Encouraging that our adjusted offense efficiency tops the A10. If they can continue to play at relatively consistent level, even with a hiccup during a game when things just aren't falling, we should still be in the thick of it with the top teams.

The team last year thrived on that three point differential. It's a smart theory of basketball. Make threes and prevent the other team from taking -- let alone making -- shots from deep. We also have a guy down low in Jerrell who is ridiculously efficient and doesn't take anything more than six feet from the basket. His FG% went from 50% to a ridiculous 65% over the past ten games.
Our offense isn't that complicated. They look to get JW the ball in the right spots. When they can't feed him or he's not on the court, they drive and kick to shooters.
Also -- Sammy's been so much better. He's over 46% from deep during the past stretch. That's fantastic. A lot of his early struggles were just a slump. But I think Reek's health was a huge factor -- he doesn't have to create shots as much or shoot off the dribble. He just has to run around to get a kick-out or shoot after a pick.
They've been really, really, really good since January.
I'm not too confident about tonight. That's largely because of the travel, and Olean is a really difficult road win, and they're a decent team.

Duren's 3P % up from 24.1 to 39.6. Yeah, I guess that would help a little bit.
